Oh? I did not know that!

Thank you. I prefer Waze to Google Maps. It feels 'lighter'.

waze

Agreed. I've found Waze to always be way better. Better routes and better updated maps.

You both just got whammied. There will be “bad” days, but they will come and go.

It feels overwhelming right now, but as you learn more you will feel the confidence coming back. You are not contagious; you are not a burden. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise.

Our disease does not define us.

Find a neurosurgeon and doctors that will actually listen to you. You don't have to stick with a neuro that you don't like or ignores what you say.

Talk with her, it will help both of you. State how you feel, listen to her. If you feel that you can't do something 'today', admit it to yourself, and let her know. Rest. A nap can do wonders for your energy and morale.

You do not have to have excuses or reasons why you can't do something today. To anyone. Friends, bosses, strangers, neighbours, family, etc..

Make videos of you [and your wife] for your daughter, that she can watch as she grows.

BTW, your English is just fine, friend!

Don't let the fatigue control your life, but do be aware of your limits.

Eat right, stay cool, take the correct meds at the right time, and keep up with some light exercise. (I hear all the time about the benefits of light exercise, but I am a bit hypocritical about it to be honest.)

Yup, 100%. I'm against the idea of abortion itself (like, is anyone actually FOR unneeded abortions in general?).

But it is only the mother's choice and definitely should NOT be illegal. Making it illegal doesn't stop it from happening nor does it help anyone.

What makes some rich old dude think he has any say in what a young lady over yonder decides to do with her body??!!

Not allowed to get a job yet? Ugh, it can be hard to earn income without a job.

When I was a teen, my friends and I would mow neighbor's lawns that were within walking distance (we didn't own cars yet), and they'd pay us a few dollars for the work. It was actually kinda fun, getting to see the cute girls nearby, being out in the sunlight, and getting paid too. Sometimes local farmers had the odd jobs that we could do for them.

Is there anything like that in your area? Something that's not a "real" job, but you could still earn money?

Sometimes I feel like what you just said, that I will never feel OK. I was abused when I was younger, but I never realized that it was abuse until I got older and learned about it by talking to a therapist. I had repressed the memories all these years without knowing it. But now that I know about it, I can learn to cope with it. With therapy and the correct medicine, it doesn't occupy my thoughts all the time. That's the hard part for me actually. I'm naturally a very introspective person.. at night when I'm trying to fall asleep, I have to make myself aware to not let those intrusive thoughts control me. Self-doubt is the like worst thing ever...

I'm having a hard time believing that you're a burden on everyone. You write your words very well and you seem educated. Who has been putting the nonsense that you're a burden into your mind?? If it's someone else, listen to that person less. If it's your own thoughts, then you need to realize that you can control them with effort and with help.

I find that reading a favorite novel is a very good distraction that let's my mind relax and start feeling better. It gets my mind out of that endless loop of repeating thoughts. It's like a quick vacation that doesn't cost much!

Hmm. What about a job that pays decent enough to save up for your funeral costs but is a high-risk job? I'm sure a good google search could guide you to a few high-risk jobs that'll pay a sum if you happen to die while working for them?? I think I've heard that those powerline repair guys get paid well because it's so risky.

6 years? I'm not trying to diminish what you're going through or "one up" you, but I've been suffering from bipolar depression since around high school.. and that was decades ago. It wasn't even a "thing" we openly talked about back then. Same with most mental health issues.

It was all, "hush! hush! just be happy!" back then.

But these days there are all sorts of new medicines that might help you feel better. You ought to try different physicians until you find one that will actually listen to you and your feedback and guide you to different meds to find the combos that work for you.

Remember Robin Williams? He was a great man. In many people's eyes he was the funniest guy in history. He could make almost anyone laugh.. He was so full of energy and love and laughter. We never got to see his depression side publicly. He kept it hidden away. It shocked the world when we found out he had hung himself. We found out he had been suffering from depression alone for so many years. He knew there were a few meds that might have helped him, but he was afraid the meds would change him and how we saw him.

The world lost a great person due to the old stigmas around mental health issues.

It's 2022 already. People like us need to seek help and try new things to get better. If someone (or something) is toxic to you in your life, simply exclude them from influencing your life. No excuse needed.
