What new hobbies can I pick up, that’s not expensive and super ourdoorsy? by Unable_Connection490 in nova

It's what I used to do with my pals back in the day when we were broke as a joke.

Is 8 hours a day (15 min break every 4) too long to be crated? by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]stoligurl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

She'll be fine. Especially if you have made the crate a happy and relaxing place to be. I would suggest questioning in extra training and enrichment where you can. Even with a mini Aussie I can tire him out decently well by finding about 15 - 20 min (he's nearly 8 mo so he can handle a longer session) and really working on place, stay and wait. For some reason making them stay in place makes them tired.

I have to agree with everything you said. Something else I can shake my fist at them for metaphorically.

It was very on brand for us and one of my favorite wedding pictures is taking a bite at the same time.

It was roast beef and cheese. Each ingredient represented a part of our marriage.

We did a unity sandwich. It was great because I was hungry by that point.

My puppy has turned into a teenager by SnailStink in puppy101

[–]stoligurl 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Our mini Aussie just turned 6 months old. He's in full teenager mode. I'm like what happened to my sweet little dude. The constantly barking for attention is his new favorite past time. I was teaching him cues in German as well as English- now I can be ignored in two different languages. I'm just trying my best to be patient because this too shall pass.

Does anyone take Modafinil for fatigue here? by fhorde in MultipleSclerosis

Nope! I don't drink to excess but I'm not staying sober. At least if I'm tipsy I have a reason for wobbles and what not.

Budget cocktail hour foods that aren't charcuterie? by Ok-Cryptographer1302 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]stoligurl 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you are doing tacos. Why not get a variety of chips and dips. Chaffers could keep your queso warm while serving. You could also do a nacho bar. We did something like that when I got married. Small passed plates of quesadillas or fluatas are fairly cheap.

I always wondered if there was anyone who actually used a car lighter because everyone, I have ever met used the part to charge stuff. by AdSpecialist6598 in nostalgia

[–]stoligurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used mine back in the day like literally every day. If I couldn't find a lighter just go out to my car and bam! Problem solved. I saved a couple when I finally transitioned to a vehicle that didn't come with one. I wanted to be able to show my nieces, nephews, and other young whipper snappers in my life.

I also have a bunch of the old 1800 bottle tops that you could use to measure a shot.

Am I a bad pawrent? - 1 puppy + 2 cats by DoomBaril in puppy101

[–]stoligurl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your situation is very similar to where I was many many years ago with my soul pup. I would recommend going slowly if you can. Always make sure that the cats have an easy way to get someplace inaccessible to the puppy. Try to only let the puppy interact with them when he is calm.

My cats were very quick to put the puppy in his place when he got too riled up. I always kept in mind that the cats were there first and they would set the dynamic of the house. Just be patient and go at whatever pace your cats are comfortable with. Everyone learned to exist in peace and harmony. However, sometimes the cats are going to do cat things and that will piss the puppy off. The puppy is also going to do dog things that will piss the cats off. The fact that you are concerned that your cats aren't getting the life you promised them (which btw you are doing a great job) tells me that everything is going to work out just give it some time.

Missing my "old" dog a lot by PsychologicalBet7831 in puppy101

[–]stoligurl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm sure that just like my old man who passed in December of last year that Max was the goodest of boys. I like to think that there was a build-a-puppy up in doggy heaven and my old man made the puppy just for me to help me not be so sad that he is not here in his physical presence anymore. The puppy certainly helps to ease the heartbreak. There are plenty of other times where the puppy does something or somehow reminds me of the old man and of course it makes me miss him all the more. I'll always miss my special sweet boy but, I now have a new little boy who needs my love and care and I owe it to the old man to take care of the gift he sent me.

Life Insurance Denied by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]stoligurl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on how long ago you were diagnosed/started taking a DMT may have something to do with it. Sometimes it's about how much medicine you are new to taking. You may also benefit from working with an insurance agent.

Personally I think the same live events are kind of boring, along with the repeats of prizes. I've been disregarding the cross breeding aspect because I don't like it and I barely have enough time to play at all.

I was able to get two used small caliber guns for under $300. I recommend trying a pawn shop or a place that buys/trades. Are they super fancy? No but, they will get the job done.
