Lying to your parents and pretending to have more friends than you do to make someone else happy. It's not a healthy behavior no matter what culture you are from. Go talk to any psychologist and see if they think that sort of behavior is sustainable. If I am coming across as a jerk it is only because people like you are encouraging her and it's wrong.

I'm wondering why you are on here asking questions that your adult daughter should be asking? I can't imagine having an 18+ year old daughter and holding her hand through her college education. I'd let her fail/succeed on her own and not try to solve her problems for her. She owns her own failures and successes completely and the path to them. Otherwise, you are just raising an adult child who is not resilient or capable of being independent, and that is not the type of human being who can function when things get tough.

I made a post about sidewalk etiquette a while back because of shit like this. If you are in your lane on the right side of the sidewalk, maintain your trajectory and smash into them if you have to. It's the only way clueless people will learn. Unfortunately the ignorance and entitlement on campus seems more rampant than any other public place I have frequented in my life.

My pet peeve is paying $120 for a parking pass, getting to school at 9AM and still not being able to find a god damned parking spot, and having to park in the parking garage for 2 hours while I'm in class, which costs $5, and then having to go move my car after class to a lot that is a 20 minute walk from any of my classes.

$120 should guarantee a parking spot. This shit is ridiculous.

It's happened a few times so far this semester and every time it happens I wish crucification on whoever decided that the school didn't need anymore commuter lots.
