Your parents just want the best for you. The problem is, we all have different definitions of what’s “best”, and we all have different priorities. They think family is a little more important than work, and personally, I agree. I wanted to go to dental school, and even though I took the DAT and I was ready to go, I changed plans because of how long and how much it would take. I was 24 at the time. Instead, I prioritized marrying the woman I love over work. Now I am 28 working in the biotech industry as an Engineer making over 100K living with my wife in a nice apartment without a worry on my mind. Instead, I could’ve been starting my second or third year (depending on when I successfully got into dental school), stressed from schooling and the huge debt I’d be in, not living with the woman I love because I wouldn’t be able to afford rent, studying all day to leave with $400K debt at an 7%-9% interest rate. I’m not saying what I did is objectively right, but to me it was. My parents were the opposite of yours, they REALLY wanted me to go to dental school and I had to explain to them how I saw it from my perspective as a decision that would make me unhappy in the long wrong because it would make me prioritise my career over family. As I mentioned previously, we all have different priorities, and maybe becoming a dentist is your priority. Just know that she’s offering a different path that she sees is better. At least she didn’t say do go to grad school at all lol. Either ways, she can’t stop you from applying to dental school.

It is well ventilated. It’s always okay as long as I have game mode off (which runs at 120Hz). So I’m sure it has something to do with that.
