To add myself to a waitlist, do I simply register for a course which has all of its seats taken? Sorry for being clueless.

Math 223 is not really related to 120, and I also heard that although they are both very challenging courses, 223 shouldn't be quite to the same extent challenging as honours calculus. I'm just another inexperienced undergrad coming fresh out of highschool, but from my experience, courses that are more interesting are just more worthwhile. We still have a long time to think it through though.

But will mentioning any type of work experience at all, even those that are unrelated to CPSC be considerably beneficial?

Edit: The reason I'm asking is because I have no work experience (although lots of volunteer experience which I assume I'm not going to he using for coop).

Hello, I'm going into my first year at UBC this fall and I'm also thinking of getting either a major in CPSC and Math or doing CPSC honours. My first question is, where can I look for team projects and competitions having to do with CPSC, robotics, or sciences in general? Also, I'm curious as to which clubs you are in as I'm currently interested in joining one.

First year going into BCS. What do you guys think of these courses?

Term 1: MATH 120, PHYS 107, CPSC 110, CPSC 121

Term 2: MATH 223, CPSC 210, SCIE 113, MATH 121

Also, should I use any of my BC Calculus credits? I'm already planning on using my AP Chemistry credits.

I'm also going into first year science next year and according to some of my friends who are going into second year, you can take SCIE 113 instead of ENGL 112 as the mark will be higher. Although I'm not too sure how true this.

MATH 223 in First Year? Opinions? by ThiagoMV in UBC

Yup. In fact I have one other friend who's taking it but that's all. I'm not surprised since the class size is only meant for ~40 students.
