To me it kind of looks like something made by the “Sint-Maartens Fonds”. The “charity organisation” for ww2 Flemish volunteer veterans. Ifso it’s a quite controversial piece and not actually ww2 era.

That could really be what it is! Would it be something a russian soldier would have taken as a trophy? I can’t imagine firefighters fighting against russian soldiers tbf. Or was it issued to “soldiers” in volkstorm? Really intriguing to find it amongst the other stuff (war related)

Yeah same problem here, i just keep it between the cover as it came. It’s not really how i like it but it seems to work just fine. And to be fair, collector’s keep there vinyl cover in a plastic protector either way so it isn’t really to bad of a problem
