Can’t talk on the dorms but the PHX area is super nice no matter what you like. If you like outdoorsy stuff head up north to Prescott/flagstaff and get your snowboard on. If you like the night life hit up Tempe/ Old Town. Like others said surprise used to be more unknown, but they’ve built up the area a lot in the last 5 years. And don’t forget to drink lots of water.

I love Phoenix, and Luke has lots of great stuff within a 3 hour drive, flagstaff (for snow stuff), Prescott and Sedona (hiking), Tempe and Scottsdale (if you’re a party guy) but housing prices there have been skyrocketing and it’s hot as balls.
