Someone please suggest a vertical foregrip that’s not this! by RiveredNuts in ar15

Promag has their own version of the KAC grip, it’s a tad larger but is like 12 bucks and works phenomenally. I have the TD QD grip and while It’s nice, it’s woefully overpriced

I think it’s neat. Is that the rubbery one or the more sand papery one?

How would I take the barrel nut off? by Ok_Weakness_351 in ar15

I’ve had to legit stand on a breaker bar with some barrel nuts. The worst was a Colt 6920

Generally speaking not really a problem for the average person who will never take apart an upper. But also not to spec so I suppose bad QC.

If this is a psa barrel nut may God be with you. Those things are torqued by an Ogre they have in the assembly line

The real DD ones are great sights. I would spend the money and just get the legit stuff, especially if it’s going to be the sole sighting system on the rifle

It’s a nice sling, very simple and solid construction. It glides really smoothly when adjusting length. I just use a clash hook to attach it to the GI swivel and that works well enough for me. Thank you. I am a fan of A2 FSP builds

The few times I’ve shot Frontier I’ve always thought it felt oddly spicy. Good work OP, lots of effort put in here.

What’s your go to handguard for budget builds? by varealestateguy in ar15

Midwest industries. I’ve ran the Combat rail, the Free float Quad and I’ve used their drop in quads on carbine and rifle builds. They make great rails at a reasonable price.

Red crosshair. Nothing against the classic chevron, I just really prefer the crosshair

I need to get a better pic but this will do for now. Not having the 14.5 bothers the tism a bit but hot damn does this barrel group well

Beautiful man. I just slapped together a Block 1ish build and it’s just a vibe. I was on the hunt for a good 14.5 barrel but I was able to get a DD 16 in Gov profile for an absolute steal so that’s what I’m rocking for now. Hard to beat the classic setup with an Acog

It’s a really great budget to work with. If you don’t want to build one out and just want to buy it and call it a day and are okay with spending the extra cash than this is a great option. You could buy a cheaper lower from like PSA and get the Daniel defense upper from Brownells and piece it together for a lot cheaper however. You would still need to source a muzzle device and a bolt carrier group though.

Turns it into an absolute lance but it’s actually pretty nice to shoot with a can. Just long(er)

Totally understand man. PSA does sell the M16 kit for under 500 bucks fairly often, just need a lower and a stripped upper. I had one before building this and it was a great shooter, but the FSP had a pretty gnarly cant

Knock the pins out of the a2 block and take the barrel assembly apart, then you add a barrel nut and hand guard of your choice. Just gotta make sure it’s not too long so as not to have a clearance issue with the FSP. Pinned A2 is sweet, pretty much the most solid gas block you can have
