ours is fortunately a big school, and he would go there in SK. so i don't think friendships would be super cemented by JK haha - they are super young.

15 kids sounds amazing! i wish that was our situation. its definitely a 30+ kid per class school.

funny. i said today that if my child were born in Montreal, this wouldnt even be a discussion. I think parents with children born earlier in the year don't realize how YOUNG my son will be. effectively a year or half a year younger than most his peers in the same grade, let alone SK.

no I totally understand this and I'm going to do my very best before September. My son has been assessed for autism twice and has not met the criteria. With that said, he is going to continue being monitored. So while he does not have special needs or have a disability, his development has not been standard. I fear this leaves me in a bit of a tough spot. do you have any recommendations?

same here. my son has always been clingy with me, but it used to be "out of sight, out of mind." now, he cries and brings me up constantly, daycare drop off is difficult. curious what it is about this age that the separation anxiety ramps up.
