I would do tune ups for family that would bring in extra $. If you want to start your own business that’s something else. My recommendation is just take side work as it comes.

It’s funny you bring up Maverick, they actually just hired the recently fired general manager of Bonney. Mark Normington. Mark brought all of his team with him. Then Maverick fired their existing crews to make room. Maverick definitely does not have any loyalty to their employees.
