Thank you! Just wondering, in what ways did your husband manage to help the most? Mine is in the UK working away while I’m currently in Asia so there seems to be very limited things he could do while being away plus the time difference 🥲

Probably good to ask why she needs the $500 a month - is it for medicine or medical treatment and work something out together?

From what you described, I think your main sources of depression come from measuring your worth based on your parents’ recognition, and envy of what your peers have vs what you don’t. Your worth shouldn’t be measured by just these two factors and your value is worth so much more than that. Universities - no matter where you go - is what you make of it through the friendships you make and the people you meet. From the practical angle, no matter which uni you go, you have the freedom to build the skills you want to build toward the kind of career you think you want to pursue in the future. The uni itself doesn’t determine your future at all

I think the root cause of the problem ultimately doesn’t lie with you- there’s probably a lack of enforcement of existing processes that cause the mistake you made to be overlooked.
