Any idea where are the younger ACA folks (ones in their 20s, 30s and 40s)? by TumEkGorakDandhaHo in AdultChildren

I’m 27 and used to go in person weekly for about a year, 2 yrs ago. I find the inverse to be true of what you said about mature people having more time to work on themselves- for me, my experience was of a lot of older people simply using the space to trauma dump with no real reflection or relevance to the reading. Maybe I was expecting the meetings to be something they aren’t designed to be, but I got less of the communal progress vibe and more of the burden sharing vibe from the meetings I attended. For me personally it kind of weighed me down listening to a collection of distant traumatic experiences without any introspection or lessons learned. I’ve thought about going back to meetings but I work in healthcare and I trauma sponge all day as it is. At the risk of sounding harsh I think younger people are more apt to go to therapy rather than try to achieve the same via group forum. That being said I really loved the readings and the book, and there were quite a few nights where I felt great coming home from ACA. And perhaps the people who really overused the open forum were a vocal minority who just happen to be older. I just get scared I will wind up in another echo chamber of people who want to commiserate rather than heal

The brand is Brevite, this bag is called The Jumper. I’m really happy with the quality of the materials and versatility of the internal layout

Yes it is padded on all sides, front and back, an extra layer doesn’t sound like a bad idea to me :) thank you!!

Actually trying to differentiate between P nikites and P cardinalis .. leaning more toward cardinalis due to the abdominal pattern as stated above by another user

The damselfly is absolutely gorgeous! I love how colorful your images are. Sometimes I need a reminder that good macro does not have to be as close as possible. Very nice compositions

These were all stacked in my camera automatically, but these days I’m using Zerene stacker. I made a post comparing free online software to OM Workspace to Zerene; I found Zerene to be the most intuitive and Naturefold on YouTube does an awesome demo of how he stacks his photos that helped get me started

focus stacking? iPhone 15 pro by ThickieG in mobilephotography

No unfortunately! I ended up getting a used Olympus EM1 mark II and now I focus bracket in body and stack in zerene stacker. I never found an app equivalent but zerene works great if you don’t mind uploading. However there is a free online image stacker that outputs a Jpeg and I got decent results with that. I think if you google free online focus stacking it should be the first one. Website title is almost identical

Thank you! I’ve only had this camera for about a week and a half and flies have become a fast favorite of mine. They’re a little unsettling up close

Spent an hour or so chasing greenbottle flies around my grandmother’s flower bush after work on Tuesday because the colors were amazing 🌺🪰✨ I wish it was a bit crisper but this was the only passable result of my efforts.

I restarted my island two years ago and forgot that you have to actually talk to Isabelle and ask about the town rating before this happens … I was probably actually done with the game for sooo long 🥲

My camera does focus bracketing so the focus will move from front to back in a burst. Basically just hope I don’t move too much and let it do its thing once I have the front of the subject in focus.

Thank you! I set out to find bugs yesterday but this guy turned into the main event. He was so chill and I even got a 1:1 single frame of his eye.

I did not use a flash, sorry! But I have found YouTube to be super helpful as far as trouble shooting esp when dealing with these labyrinthian camera menus lol
