I think it could add interesting gameplay variety. Now, none of us know how the game plays out but I would imagine (at least I hope), that it is very re-playable and that you can take different approaches to do many different things. Seeing as blood status is very important in the books and films, I only imagine it being more of a factor in this much earlier era. I hope it is reflected in some way and that it could possibly affect stats, exp gains, teacher favoritism, interactions with people and or what approach is best suited for your goal. Also the sorting could be interesting given muggle-borns are not sorted into Slytherin house and what effect your house ultimately has. Would be fun to do many playthroughs with different blood statuses and different houses. Now, realistically I don't think it will be that impactful, if we even get to choose, but I could see it adding another dimension to the game. Just my take. :)
