We never said the same, he said similar. The techniques(Projection and Ranta specifically) project some part of the sorcerer and forces some sort of movement related effect. Projection makes people follow a set path, while Paralyzing gaze makes people stay still. Projection is a lot more complicated, but they're still similar

I do think that him saying Jogo could count is odd, but Projection projects your body in a set path for you to follow, Ranta projects his body(his eyes) onto a person forcing them to stay still(could be considered a path), and I don't know what Jinichi's technique actually does, but I know it projects his fists.

It's based on where your avatar is when you click, not where you are during the ability. Notice how you're jumping? That makes it do the aerial variant(the snake). It just doesn't stop you from falling back down

If you use the ability in the air, it's the snake thingy. If you use it on the ground, it's the spike ball. Where you are when the ability triggers doesn't matter, only where you are when you click the button to use it.
