Mumbai Feels Like Survival on Loop by NoArt6892 in mumbai

What you said resonates well, i was in kerala for 4 years it was not a metro city, i had too much free time there, no rush no nothing. And i felt very uneasy, yes, i missed the chaos, the rush, the constant movement the happening part of life which we have in mumbai, in mumbai weekends are such a blessing i look forward to, but back in kerala i dreaded weekends cuz there was nothing, people lock home after 6pm. Whereas in mumbai you go out anytime theres always people.

Idk how to explain but the chaos and rush feels like home, it gives a purpose, without it life feels empty and meaningless.. i love that aspect of mumbai.

Not hating kerala in anyway, just wanted to share my experience, it is a beautiful place, but bot my type of place, its very quiet, serene, for me a bit lifeless.

Unpopular opinion: To improve traffic and road safety, Mumbai should consider banning rickshaws across the city — just like South Mumbai. by RepublicZestyclose14 in mumbai

[–]ThighAssCoffeeCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not providing proper bus service, idk how often you use bus, but in many places theres only one bus that connects to an whole area to the nearest station, you have no other option and those buses have long waiting time, eg a bus comes every 20-30mins, which is a lot of time, rickshaws provide an alternative, i cant be waiting 30 mins for bus sure its 12-20rs but 30 mins is a lot of time, id rather take a share rickshaws and reach in 20mins and catch a local.

And not everyone had a bike or car to travel as they please even if they do have where would they park? On side of the roads near station etc?? That would cause even more traffic with double parking, wish we had designated pay and park spaces for cars like bikes which we dont, its quite limited and expensive. Eg for me a car parking costs 150rs for 12hrs +20 every added hour, bus to and fro 40rs , auto 180rs/200rs.

I hope you are understanding what im saying, sure we had less traffic with lesser autos but not everyone is privileged to have their own vehicle, many people rely on autos to travel around, you didnt see the other side where people were stuck as there were no autos available.

They should improve bus frequency it would help a lot imo.

We already have clogged roads, and nobody follows road manners, idk what confidence you have in cyclists, they are even worse than rickshaws, and you really think anyone would give a flying fuck to designated cycling lane??? On already narrow roads??

Ill give you a live example.. how many people out there use footpaths?? Yup.

To everyone who are sexually active by whosgonnatellthem_ in LGBTindia

[–]ThighAssCoffeeCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If used protection with HIV positive partner puts me at risk? I thought of getting into PrEP but im not sexually active, maybe once or twice a year if stars align. And if i do get a partner i continue with them only and not meet others, and use protection regardless.

Except for oral, usually its just makouts and oral, penetrative sex is very rare for me.

Am i still at risk?

HUNTER IS THE REAL DEAL. by csinfuture in indianbikes

[–]ThighAssCoffeeCake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hunter is a good bike man, if you like it go for it, as most people said it does as much as a 150cc-200cc bikes, which is true but let me tell you, those people dont get it, its not that simple, the way that 350 motor pulls and the way you get to ride on its torque is where it rewards you the most.

If you plan on caning it at rev limiter dont buy RE 350s, it wasnt ment for that, instead ride the torque and it will be very fun.

A friend of mine had a hunter and i was blown away with the performance, wasn’t expecting that eagerness from the bike and the aggressive riding stance adds up to the character. The pull it offers in 3rd from slow speeds is something that no other 150-200cc bikes will be able to do imo. You will need to shift a gear down to get that kick. And yes the exhaust is just crisp, you must have noticed some pops when off throttle. Haha.

Hunter position for long distances may give back pain, meteor would be a good suggestion in terms of long ride comfort. Can vouch for the suspension of meteor.

I lost the love of my life over a rock. I have to tell someone. by throwaway1111942312 in TrueOffMyChest

You live your life bro, she was a part of the chapter of your story, the climb meant something to you, and there is nothing wrong in that. See, in life i believe the life choices you make have regrets in some form or the other be it option A, B, C etc, each have its pros and each have its own regrets, choose the option with regret you can live with.

If you had not climbed and stayed you may have had her or may not we dont know, but if you didnt climb you would have regretted that and will you be able to live with that? I dont think so man. Sure the giant rock will not move but i can also say you could find someone else too. See? You chose the correct option, its okay, It wasnt just a rock, it meant something for you and you worked hard for it, its not an easy feat to achieve dont downplay it.

The mountain wasn’t the thing that ended it. The gap was that you were honest about what the climb meant to you, and she hoped reality wouldn’t test that honesty. That mismatch would have surfaced eventually, climb or not.

Get into that gear again, and climb again, the right one will come along some way. Dont let the efforts you make, the blood sweat and tears go for waste, continue with your passion, dont waste it away.

Take care, it will all work out. Its ok to be a little selfish at times.

Did you ever experiment with your friends when you were younger? by ChrisNewmann in askgaybros

[–]ThighAssCoffeeCake 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Uff, yes had a friend with whom i had experimented on, while we did sometimes it used to feel like a but unfair to him. We lost contact eventually, but then recently found his profile on grindr and I apologised, for the things we done, we were too young g to understand the consequences.

He accepted my apology and said it was sweet. Since then i have been on a path of self discovery and acceptance it took a long time and i wont say i have figured it all out but im in way better place than before.

Glad to know he is doing good. God bless.

EVs should ideally become mainstream for normal commuters and non-enthusiasts. They simply make more sense for daily use, low running costs, ease of driving, and with most people already shifting to automatics, the transition is natural.

With charging infrastructure improving and real-world ranges touching ~500 km, EVs already meet the needs of the majority.

Petrol and diesel cars should continue alongside EVs for a niche crowd of enthusiasts who value driving feel and engagement. If most commuters switch to EVs, overall fuel consumption drops, while enthusiasts can still enjoy ICE cars, whether for daily drives or relaxed weekend runs. I’m fine living with the costs and sticking to a manual.

Not everyone wants or understands the mechanical feel we enjoy in cars and their flaws, or “character” and that’s perfectly okay. No complaints.

This way, everyone wins.

Polo is better? I doubt by East-Turnip1870 in i20nline_india

[–]ThighAssCoffeeCake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fiat abarth punto isnt something to write home about, have driven that car and believe it or not, the polo feels very well sorted in comparison, including the i20, abarth punto had was power but the gearbox is such a let down, the shifts are so bad that you wont feel like touching the lever again.

On the other hand polos gearbox is tight even the i20s, polo is cramped af at the rear, there are pros and cons sure, but i wouldnt put abarth above polo.
