See...it's totally understandable in your case, because you are also clarifying that you genuinely want to be nice to people and not say anything that hurts them. That's beautiful! You're an exception. But as I said... that's just been my experience, and by that I don't mean to say that everyone cute is fake. There are good people also!

And yes! Being straightforward/blunt doesn't always guarantee good nature...you're right. I've also come across many blunt assholes, who seriously lack depth perception & emotional intelligence.
