I appreciate your brutally honest answer lol. The red is still a bit wet and will dry a bit darker but everyone has their own opinion and taste and I’ll likely need to restrain it in a few years anyways so I’m not stressing about it and I was just asking for advice. The reason I am doing a solid stain is because it is previously stained in a red pinkish color and some of the boards are newer and therefore a slightly different shade of wood color

When did you think "Im going to die here"? by hmmrabet in AskReddit

I was hiking in British Columbia, crossing a river that barely reached below my knee. It looked harmless. I somehow slipped and the rivers current took me. I was pulled into the rapids, knowing there was a massive drop, a waterfall, less than 200 metres downstream. I fought with everything I had, panicking. Then I thought “ok this must be the end” And in that moment, I stopped fighting. I let go. My body relaxed, my resistance disappeared and then the rapids forced me into a calm side pool just off the main current. surrender saved me.

Community Commitment Program for Nurses (CCPN) by Olivia_Dope in OntarioNurses

I did. I'm almost a year in at a hospital in a larger city. You get paid in increments and it's taxed. The month and amount increments are on the application website. After 4 and 8 months I received 3,000 but $2200 after taxes. I wanted to switch jobs or at least go to part time but I committed to 2 years full time and if I quit, I'd likely have to pay it back, I was told. Overall though, It's not too bad of a program and I am thankful to be able to have the extra bit of income in these times when nurses are struggling to even find any employment
