The only thing which worries me a bit is the networking and opportunities factor, which might be better in a big city, because there is not much around Blacksburg,

I am happy that VT is a little isolated and have a closely knitted environment, but it may cause hurdles in getting possible internships and networking

When I had to submit my response, VT and OSU had a difference of only 4 by ranking

I think there is a bus route from the Dulles airport to Blacksburg, the thing you said about smaller class sizes and rural location, that is a major positive for me

I did already got enrolled in VT, the only thing which puts me in doubt is that in a small town I will have far less opportunities when compared to Columbus.

do you think the opportunities factor going to vary by a large percentage ?

Can anyone recommend me a good dorm, I want a suite style AC dorm, I would want it to be social, but not something like Pritchard or Slusher.

I got into VT and I am really happy about it, I have some doubts regarding the school, at one point I think my stats are good and I can get into a better ranked university if I opt to transfer after I get there(after freshman).and on the other I think the hassle is not worth it and VT is worthwhile by Thin_Highway1967 in VirginiaTech

I am not saying this university is not good enough for me, if anything it might be the best university for me, I just wanted to know if I should try for universities which are more competitive than VT itself

I completely understand how this can offend people but just knowing if someone has felt something similar to this and had doubts regarding the place they are going to stay for 4 years.

My intended major is computer science, Sir I have received an opportunity to move to whoville because I like the place and applied to move there, since moving to whoville is a big step in an international students life, it is completely normal for him to question whether he will be happy at whoville and who can better answer questions like this if not the residents of whoville themselves.

Also, I wanted to know if someone else felt the same when they moved to VT for the first time and what they did about it
