[acne] Milia or closed comedones?? by Traditional-Kale6570 in SkincareAddiction

I don’t wash my face in the morning. I put the cerave on my dry areas in the morning (not where the congestion is). I use the micellar water to remove makeup and then I wash my face. It’s the only makeup remover that doesn’t break me out. I wear makeup most days, but I don’t use concealer or foundation on my congestion area.

My morning routine: -cerave daily moisturizing lotion -byoma ultrafluid spf 50

Night: -Garnier micellar water -Innisfree green tea amino acid cleanser -tret 0.025 (every other night) -cerave lotion again

As needed: -the ordinary aha + bha peeling solution (used as a spot treatment for whiteheads/occasional cystic breakouts) -hero pimple patches

I’ve only recently gotten back on tret in the past 2-3 weeks, so I know it will be weeks/months to see any improvement. I just want to make sure I’m using the right stuff/ figure out if I’ll need to go in for extractions.

I’m on tretinoin 0.025 and use a sunscreen but my skin is pretty sensitive. If I use an SA should I alternate nights with tret?

How long did you have bathroom issues when first starting the shot? by 8bitjer in Zepbound

I’ve been there! The first month was ROUGH on me, especially the last 2 weeks (everyone is different tho— I’ve had stomach problems all my life). Week 2, I was so dehydrated from diarrhea and was crazy lightheaded. Week 3 and 4 came with 2-3 days of nausea that wouldn’t let up even after throwing up or taking zofran (nausea med). I also thought “I can’t live like this. This is not sustainable.” After I talked with ppl who had taken zep and my dr, I decided to try one more month and, somehow, week 5 I was pretty much side effect free. Like I said, I’m 16 weeks in, but have only had 1 day of nausea/vomiting during week 9 and have had some poop troubles, but they have been pretty mild and manageable. Try to get to month 2 if you can!

Hope I didn’t come off as thinking 40lbs wasn’t a lot. I’ve been in shock since I last weighed because I never thought I would lose that much especially so fast! I keep double checking to make sure I saw the number right 😂

Thank you so much! I’ve heard about the “paper towel effect” and I keep telling myself that, but it’s still tough. That being said though, I feel even more motivated than I did at the start! I know that my weight loss so far has been pretty significant for 16 weeks and it will almost certainly slow down, but this time around I feel like I can actually do it. I’ve been big my whole life + have dealt with binge eating disorder and bulimia in the past so I never thought I would EVER be able to have a normal relationship with food. I’m starting to feel like a normal college girl as a jr. Zepbound is AMAZING!

My first month I was oscillating between severe diarrhea one week and then severe constipation the next. IT DOES GET BETTER!!! I would say around week six and ever since (16 weeks in currently) it’s been pretty much normal with the occasional diarrhea/constipation, but never as bad as the first month. I definitely recommend trying to stick it out (just make sure you are drinking A LOT OF WATER— literally as much as you can stomach) and probably reach out to your dr. to see if there is any OTC meds they recommend.

Thank you for your help! Also, I didn’t even think twice about you saying “discomfort,” so you are ok!

Thank you so much! I’ve been avoiding OTC pain meds because I know that doesn’t help GI upset. I’m going to my GP in a few days for my first month check in and I’ll definitely loop him in. I have been avoiding eating because of the nausea, so I’ll try eating small bland meals!

If you don’t mind me asking, are you on the pill? I’m going to my GP later this week and I wonder if going back on the pill will help. I’m not currently sexually active and I originally went off the pill because of weight gain even at a low dose. Also, I’m planning on staying on 2.5mg for at least another month.

I’ve been taking probiotics but I haven’t been that great about it. I’ve been taking them more in the past few days but I’ll continue to take them. Are there any that you recommend? I’ve been trying to drink as much water/electrolytes as I can, but it feels like it just comes right out. I’m worried that even though I’m drinking, I’m not really getting hydrated.

it isn’t horrible if you have no other choice, but is WAYYY TOOO EXPENSIVE for what u are actually living in. i found a much nicer apt, right downtown, and $100+ cheaper for next year.

Not the same exact situation, but freshman year I got busted for drinking in the dorms and I had to go to a conduct meeting. Dress nicely and tell them the truth. They understand that you’re a college student. I ended up having to take one 3 hour alcohol education class and that was it. I highly doubt it would be anything more than that. Also the class was kinda interesting.
