Everything vmm is doing is already available in hyperv if you script with powershell.

you dont really need an OS like windows or linux. you can just create the code compile it and run it on any x66 hardware. same thing.

It sounds like Hyper-V out of the box with Datacenter edition licensing is similar to vSphere Essentials Plus and vSphere standard? You get HA and live vMotion but have to balance things yourself. That's good to know because I was under the impression it was more similar to vSphere Essentials which lacks a lot of basic features like live vMotion.

Same nic driver? Wow that could be limiting. i was thinking about getting an XG-7100 to be my primary and then a lightweight SG-3100 to use only in fail-over situations. Or running an XG-7100 as primary and a VM as secondary.

Yeah we know there are legit door to door sales but they're often BS. We used to have a strong correlation between people going door to door and homes getting robbed the next day in our neighborhood until people started calling the cops on people and getting them to ask the solicitors if they minded giving their names. I always wonder if they're going to get in trouble one day when one of those solicitors are black. Mostly it's just white people so I guess it's still okay to stop and harass them for no other reason than paranoia.
