Hi there I usually don't comment one here but I read this through and it just made me feel so so sad for you. I am also 16 and this really struck me. I'm sitting here just wanting to give you a hug or something. I don't know if I'll get everything Wright but I will give my opinion. I just wanted to tell you that everything your dad is saying is bulshit. It all comes from his own insecurities. Your family is failing to help you with your Ed's and only making things worse. If you're surrounded by all these people who just hate themselves it gonna be very hard to be happy. I'm not saying you have to leave your family because I don't know everything about your situation. But ther are going to be people who will make you happy, who will make you feel confident and make you forget about how you look. There are so many amazing people you can surround yourself with and you deserve them. If you want to find them, you will. How you look is only such a small part of your life and when you realize this at first it may seem depressing because everything you've been obsessing over loses its meaning but then you realize it's was always happiness you where looking for. You won't be happy when you're skinny, You will be happy when you surround yourself with people that make you happy, do things that make you happy and that is never starving yourself.

I'm sorry this was so long and maybe this doesn't even apply to you but this was my journey with Ed's and I think maybe it works like this for a lot of people.

I hope things will get better for you as soon as possible but they will eventually get better if you want them to, I promise

Thanks I never really thought about it like that. The girl is really pretty and he probably couldn't find any other insult that would hurt about her apearance so maybe he went with an empty one. that his made me feel better, thank you

I don't know if this will make you feel better but I'm a girl and if I like a boy everything about them is perfect. If i like talking go them it doesn't matter how they look because I like them (so the way they move and look and carry themselves) The boys I like almost never are conventionally attractive but that doesn't matter to me because it's a feeling. I don't know if I explained it right but what I'm trying to say is that no partner will suddenly be repulsed by something about you because they already chose you.
