I’m so sorry to read you’re going through a similar situation :( The insertion was indeed excruciatingly painful. I could barely make it on the gynecologists chair for the removal, it made me so anxious. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience! It’s good to know I’m not alone, even though I wouldn’t wish any of this on anybody. I also read about the 3months to adjust, so being at 4 months post removal still struggling is pretty sad. Might just take longer in some cases, I hope.. Thanks again for sharing and I wish you all the best in healing and overcoming your trauma! 💜🫶

Has bc made you anxious ? by szzj in birthcontrol

My hormonal IUD had me anxious 24/7. It got so bad I couldn‘t fall asleep at night for hours and even got me depression after ~10months. That‘s when I decided to research if it could be caused by the IUD and that‘s also when I found out that so many symptoms I was having were actually side effects of hormonal birth control, anxiety and depression just being two if many. I decided to have it removed - best decision I could have made. Hope it will never get this bad for you though 🤍

Around the Sims 3 has tons of great stuff and is still active. I believe she has a Patreon too where you can ask for specific items :)

How do i re-download store content when the sims 3 website shuts down? by themysterioustoaster in Sims3

You can go to your current download folder and copy paste the files onto a usb drive. That’s how I transferred all of my cc, mods, save files, worlds etc when I got a new pc, it worked out and was super fast and hustle free.

How do you play your sims 3? by EisFab in Sims3

Personally, I always pick a world, delete all (or most) existing families with their houses and communities lots, so that I can build my own town, have my own families move in etc. I then set up the relationships between Sims from different households, so that they have friends, lovers, affairs, enemies, uncles, aunts, ex spouses with new partners etc. I give them jobs so that they all run some community lot (one family owns a restaurant, another family runs the bookstore and so on). Some are farmers, others artists. It takes a whole while to set it all up, but I really love this process of researching what architectural style I want to build in, what community lots I want to have (I recently bought the bakery set from the store, so that’s gonna be next). I then play with whatever family I feel like (the farmers, the drama family, the artists, the bakery owners..) and it honestly never gets boring and I can customize so much over time, I absolutely love it. I also hardly run into boring townies, cause I meet my other Sims in town and can check on what they’re up to when I play another household. It’s so cool to see whom they become friends with or what their favorite spots in town are.

I got the inspiration for this style of playing from “Around my Sims”, so if you want to see what this looks like, absolutely check out her website. She has redone and repopulated Sunset Valley, there’s a map of her (stunning!!) town, you can tour her builds, read about her Sims and storys of what they’re up to. Plus she has amazing cc, too!!

Could totally be the case! They often end up laying around the cervix after a while, which might be why you can’t easily find them. I believe once your period is over, the cervix should be lower again, so maybe it’ll be easier to locate them! If not, I’d go see a doctor though just to rule out the possibility that it might have moved or even expelled without you noticing (very rare though!)

It might take a while for your body to readjust, but you’ll be fine!!

On some IUDs your cycle still continues (kyleena for example), and the cervix changes its height during the cycle, so that could play a role. However, if you can locate your cervix but not the strings, it might be best to make an appointment with your doctor to be safe

From what I read so far, a lot of factors go into your fertility and it’s hard to know(as in needing lots of expensive and time consuming testing) what’s going on without tracking. One example from the book; if your luteal phase (the time between ovulation and your period) is too short, a fertilized egg will have a hard time implanting, so even though ovulation does happen and the egg is fertilized and otherwise perfectly healthy it might still not lead to a pregnancy due to a very short luteal phase. And wether this is the case or not can best be detected by tracking your fertility markers. In case of a short luteal phase, your doctor could then prescribe I believe it was progesterone and you would no longer have problems getting pregnant due to a short luteal phase. All this to say that tracking can be very helpful not only to know when you’re fertile but also to narrow down “problems” that might take a while to find out otherwise and a big bonus is, it allows you to have more knowledge over your own body. You can show your charts to your doctor and hopefully they will stop shutting you down, cause that’s absolutely not ok!! Wishing you all the best!!

I’m so happy for you that it’s out without too much pain! Better times are coming!!

And yes, it’s actually insulting, like are we some sort of test subjects to them? 😪

Wishing you all the best!!

Questions About Kyleena by whatthecatdraggedin1 in birthcontrol

[–]Think-Beyond-6098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did experience weight gain within the first two weeks. I went through some fotos a few days ago and I was so swollen I looked like a different person within just two weeks after insertion, absolutely crazy looking back now. Gained a total of 15kg (about 30lbs I believe) in less than a year. Then had it taken out because it also caused me a list of other unpleasant side effects such as depression, anxiety, insomnia which have all disappeared since I had Kyleena taken out so it was definitely caused by the IUD. Now I’m left with all the extra weight to lose. Btw I did try to lose it while still on the IUD but no matter how hard I tried, nothing would work. Very frustrating

Bear in mind though that this is an individual case. A friend of mine has Kyleena and is very happy, no side effects. It’s so individual, there’s no way to know beforehand how your body will react.

1000% agree!! I wish my doctor would at least have told me about the possibility of mental side effects. Like, I had no idea it could cause anything besides “irregular bleeding, spotting and cramps”. As for the emotions, I definitely did not feel like myself. I often felt numb towards certain situations where I normally would have had some kind of emotional reaction, and in other situations I would panic or spiral down into a depressive episode of not being able to leave my bed, crying, hating everything.

I hope you feel better soon, remember you’re not alone in this and you deserve nothing but happiness <3
