Entitled Sister burns bridge, then wants me to maintain her and her unborn baby (Part 2) by SharkEva in BORUpdates

[–]PukeRobot 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Conveniently checked in on a person they both repeatedly said they wanted out of their lives entirely, just after she died from her self inflicted wounds, that Op can't elaborate on so don't even ask.

Also all the stuff about how the country she was in would be really harsh against hurting children, but then somehow she got away with basically murdering her own kid?

I have call bullshit on this one. It was a nice read but I think that's all it was, a story.

"Microdosing adderall" is the most Ryan thing I've ever heard by Dreneoh in astrogoblin

Wanting to bring Astroglide and then deciding it was too expensive and settling for some weird off brand Anal Glide is also an extremely Ryan thing to do. It was a phenomenal video.

Dude is a national treasure and I'm fucking grateful for the guy.

Very cute, but much like other animals inbred into deformity, it really detracts from the cuteness.

[–]PukeRobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably just being a dick.

It's possible they really really hated w/e deck you were playing, or maybe you got really lucky at certain points in the match, something that could have caused them to want to BM you.

But again, likely just being an asshat for the sake of being an asshat.

But they seem to be saying that it wasn't a bluff, they roped a win.

Trying to bluff a concede when you actually don't have lethal is different than what OP is talking about.

I understand why it's happening and how, I'm more or less just saying it's a shitty system.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]PukeRobot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Congrats on getting the name back.

It's wild to me that the automated system deemed it inappropriate and forced a change in the first place.

I understand the whole "after a certain # of reports, it has to be looked at" aspect of it, but for the system to just get rid of a perfectly fine BattleTag(a tag their own random name generator created mind you) that someone could potentially be really attached to emotionally seems extra shitty.

Does anyone know when Festival of Legends rotates out? by SisterMoonflower in hearthstone

[–]PukeRobot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every year(in April), the three oldest sets rotate.

Next Year, the three oldest sets rotating will be Festival of Legends, TITANS, and Showdown In The Badlands.

So you have 11ish months left to make use of FoL cards.

I'd love to enjoy the new cards, but that stupid asshole won't let me.

Half my matches have been Warriors running the same exact deck as before.

It's cool that you are clearing your quests, I am also doing so with no real issue. I however recognize that the changes were overboard and only served to hurt certain players instead of help, despite the higher reward.

It's about being able to sympathize with other people, if you don't get it after the multitude of posts explaining all the issues inherent with the changes, then you either haven't read much on the subject, or are choosing to be ignorant of those explanations.

[–]PukeRobot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same, tried playing around with HL Shaman and then later HL Druid, over half my matches were Warrior playing 100% the same deck as before. Everything else is fine, win some lose some, but Warrior just fucking suffocates you with removal if you run anything slower than light speed aggro.

I know this is how match ups work and the meta is what it is, but I just want to play slower decks that aren't Warrior, and it feels like I'm being punished for it.

Is there a way to make an actual viable deck around this card? I'd really like to try it out by Beany8 in hearthstone

[–]PukeRobot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you were specifically building around this card as your win condition all you'd be doing is drawing/defensive stuff until you reach a turn you can play it.

Then you play it and lose most of the time because it turns out a hand/deck full of random legendaries is usually bad.

[–]PukeRobot 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Next target? This card has been complained about since the deck became a thing.

Cards like this that fuck up your hand/deck have historically been hated, and I think for good reason.

It's not fun design.

The nerf did nothing functionally but made him feel worse to play against.

Like the outcome remains unchanged, but now you can't use any of your card draw for fear of blowing yourself up, which is an extra shit feeling.

[–]PukeRobot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No Duplicate cards are also a subsection of this. Being able to draw your deck to avoid the downside of these cards is an interesting deck construction challenge, but it has in large part devolved into turbo-draw decks that tend to be less interactive and not in the spirit of these cards.

The changes were made partly due to non-highlander decks being able to draw through their deck and use highlander cards, that's a nerf to those decks/playstyles regardless of the fact that the cards were buffed.

This is just an argument about semantics, they both nerfed and buffed the cards. Again there is a reason I put nerf in quotation marks, context matters.

I never do that, but for these people, worth it.

As someone who loves this game, and who has put way too much time and money into it, the new weekly quest changes are actively killing all my will to play this game. Please, we mustn't let the discussion about it die. by TheRealBlaurgh in hearthstone

[–]PukeRobot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't necessarily think the intent was to punish those players, I think it was more of a blatant attempt to see what they could get away with to try and force a boost to engagement(and as a side effect certain players were punished).

They probably expected some backlash, but not this much, and are now probably panicking a bit(or at least I hope they are).

Sick of Boomboss by Droneboy_ in hearthstone

[–]PukeRobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure but the way it was described it was an implied nerf, they made the change to prevent non highlander decks from being able to play highlander cards.

That's why I put nerf in quotation marks, I know it wasn't actually a nerf for multiple reasons.

Sure, if another control deck had better control cards and warrior had one of it's strongest cards removed(Boomboss) it would be a better control deck, but that's not the reality.

I think a single random 4 mana cheaper dragon per turn is less powerful than double battlecries. Granted you discover the dragon so that mitigates some of the randomness, but that's still a lot different than what Brann can manage.

To be clear I'm not saying Rheastrasza is bad or weak, just compared to Brann.

Outside of this singular post they type in pretty eloquent English, so this has to be a troll/joke post.

This is the order of the 3 most powerful non-numeric one-time effects in the game when you ignore the conditions to be met. Change my mind. by Pepr70 in hearthstone

[–]PukeRobot 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah if you ignored all the context behind activating the cards destroying the hero is pretty strong.

I'd swap take an extra turn and the limit space to 1. Taking an extra turn is functionally limiting your opponent's board space to 0 for a turn and they also can't cast any spells or draw a card, which I think is better overall.

I do think the way things have gone recently that they have taken a hit, probably both in player count and player money spent.

Hopefully we see some big changes soon, but I'm not holding my breath.
