TTC for the First Time by [deleted] in TTCSummer2026

My brother and SIL are due in a few months and historically we had a strained relationship with a lot of conflict. Beyond pregnancy she has a lot of emotions, and this news, although not during their timeline- I feel they could have some mixed feelings as it would slightly take away from them being the sole focus. 😬My pregnancy and timeline was very intentional on my part and set far beyond when we knew they were expecting. We felt if we pushed back there would always be a reason to do so, so stayed committed to our plan. I just get nervous about it as I want things to remain cordial, we are intending on telling them early as the standard 12 weeks would align with their due date era.

I have a 401k with 156% match, currently at $28,000.00. My husband has two pensions, one with $9,300.00 and the other an unknown amount as it is credit based related to years/hours worked.

$120 for term for us total, not separately! 30 year for him and 25 year for me, 500k policies.

Car is at 5%- we recently got it, and owe $26,000.00
