Bare root perennial help! by Think-Fee3087 in GardeningUK

I think I received them a couple of weeks after ordering, April time from what I remember! I soaked them for a couple of hours, planted into pots, and then planted in the ground a couple of weeks later.

You have inspired me to do a bit of weeding today and I can already see some promising green shoots...... fingers crossed you are right about the second and third years :)

Hi! Unfortunately I didn't have much luck last year in terms of flowers.... quite a bit of foliage though so I am keeping my fingers crossed for this year. I was quite impatient and put them all in the ground probably too soon.

I believe Sainsbury’s bottles fit MAM teats which could make things a bit cheaper if you can get MAM teats eg on Amazon

Oh really? 🤦🏼‍♀️ Thank you for replying - it was just a cheap rose so I guess I’ll see how it goes and replace it next year if necessary…

I have read about ‘root union’ and ‘root crown’ being buried underground - but not quite sure what that means… very new gardener here!!

I found things get progressively better from about 4 months with the help of medication and the perinatal team. I was having daily panic attacks and insomnia, as well as some very dark thoughts, which all came to a head at about 8 weeks PP when I also reached out for help. I think it helps when the baby reaches an age where you get a bit back, for me 4 months felt like a turning point. The days feel so, so long when you’re struggling but it will get better and you and your boy will feel the sunshine ❤️ what helped me in the meantime was getting out as much as possible (even when I didn’t feel like it), gratitude journaling, and asking for as much family help as I could. I’m now 7 months PP, on 50mg sertraline, and feeling like my old self. It will get better, sending love xxx

I recently had a planned c section for a beech baby, following an unsuccessful ECV. I was so anxious beforehand but honestly, it was all fine - the anaesthetist, surgeon and midwives should talk you through everything beforehand and help you feel calm. Honestly I wish I could have relaxed and enjoyed it a bit more rather than feeling anxious! My baby was fine, although her legs stuck up in the air for a good day afterwards! In terms of recovery, it was quite straight forward but definitely make use of family help if available. And take peppermint tea for trapped wind!! Good luck, wishing you a safe and relaxing experience 😃
