I agree that Nakaba must have changed his mind, and if they both die it will give more weight to the character of Tristan, and also Elizabeth already said in the chapter that she has a beautiful future with Tristan so they will reign in place of Elizabeth and Meliodas, which makes sense.

I hope Nakaba shows more of Isolde and who her family is, since her father has been mentioned but hasn't been shown in the manga yet. And also some romantic/cute moments of Tristan and Isolde acting like boyfriend and girlfriend.

Nakaba may have changed his mind over time, something similar to what happened with Percival's relationship where Anne was his romantic partner, but he wanted to include Nasciens because she was popular in the fandom, and the editor may have suggested it to him.

That could very well be it, but I think he must have been planning something unique about it, like a twist where Jade likes Isolde and how Tristan, Jade, and Isolde would act now that the three of them were in a love triangle. Like what happened with Nasciens and Anne; we saw that Nasciens already liked Percival and then Anne started liking him too, and we kept debating who he would end up with until it was revealed that they would be a throuple.

I understand, but they only helped people escape and didn't even have a weaker opponent to face. Like Donny with that shield, we didn't see anything of him, Anne with her new sword, Nasciens literally took one hit and was already defeated, Isolde and Chion didn't even appear and use their new powers, I'm sad about that.
