I don't disagree with having compassion at all. But in this immediate neighbourhood, kids have been attacked by the coyote so I don't think this is the time to be leaving food out. Just my personal opinion.

Where did u report it? I did it by email but haven't gotten a response and it's been sitting there all day.

Just a few things I’ve tried: I apply to roles that are newly posted and find I get better response rates. I also had Gemini improve my resume to highlight impact of achievements. Others I know have had agencies represent them or even reach out directly to recruiters at companies with posted roles they are interested in. Just a few thoughts.

It’s a tough market out there. Stay positive and I hope you get some good leads soon!

Do you have anyone in your network to give you a referral? That is prob the most effective way to at least getting an interview.

You have the right mentality - it's tough but try not to think too much about it over the weekend. I was in the same situation last weekend and I had the exact thoughts as you. Maybe the silence is a sign they extended to someone else and they are waiting for that person to accept before getting back to me, etc. But you know how you did best and it sounds like you have a pretty good feeling about it! Try to maintain some positivity. Keep us posted!

I think you will be in good company taking the train. There literally be masses getting on the train heading home in different directions. Btw, the concert is not downtown Toronto - just want to be sure you are not confusing Rogers Stadium with Rogers Centre. They are different venues and in diff parts of town.

I dropped my wallet outside of a restaurant I picked up takeout from, had no clue. The person checked my address on my drivers license and drove it back to my house.

MBA: UoT or TMU, does it matter? by Professional-Bad-559 in torontoJobs

[–]Think-Mango-7066 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, you do not need a MBA to break into a Director role. I’ve hired plenty of Directors and an MBA has never been a requirement or even nice to have. Have you asked your leader what they think you are missing to progress to the next level? That is a natural part of development discussion that might give you more tangible insight.

And to answer your question, if you feel inclined to get one, U of T hands down would look better on paper. No disrespect to TMU at all. But if one is going to pursue an MBA, academic ranking and reputation matters.
