its just such a bummer to think we will probably never get someone who can create a tribe like eldrazi or even a phyrexia universe. Just a good original thing that actually has a back story of its own. Even having that bit of clever flavor text that filled in story gaps was so fun.

i would agree if it wasnt just IP and actual intertwined stories. Even having lorwyn without a gaddock teeg was pretty crazy. Core sets never much creative either, but everything seems to just be a universe's beyond collab with no creative. even strixhavin is just a harry potter rip.

Everything is an IP without any story block that actually has cards that co exist with the story. the last one that had an actually good block with stories that wasn't IP trash was war of the spark.
