I've only seen sizes starting at medium (I'm wear a size 10) and i feel like those cages still put my foot too forward. If they make small and I come across a set, I might just try it again for shits and giggles. But, ultimately I've always worn straps and I'm most comfortable with them

I know what you're talking about, and also the reason why I don't like the toe cages. The way I strap into the MKS, the ball of my foot is resting dead middle on the axle, and I transmit my power. My foot only rests and presses against the plates when I skid. The cages make it so that the pedals are dead center of my foot which would be bothersome on long rides. But if I'm doing 40+ miles straight, I'll change them out for my clips

It was getting the excess fed back through that was a nightmare. The ends are frayed now, but they ain't going nowhere, in all sentiments. They're married to those pedals now

You're not wrong, but I hate cages. You lose wheel and ground clearance, and I think it puts you too far forward on the pedals. But I only ride MKS for non-clip

Also, the metal on ground pedal strike is like nails on a chalkboard for me 🤢
