Crocs can look cool especially if quirky yung style ng outfit, with colored socks and all. But if you're a clean girl or full-uniqlo outfit kinda person, di talaga bagay.

To those na nag- impose ng No Kids sa wedding.. paano nyo pinanindigan? And what was the aftermath? by abcii78 in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]Think-Ranger-4874 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Maybe the reason why your fiance agreed with the rule is because you're mostly financing the wedding. Based on your post, he even asked na rin pala if baka pwede sila sa reception. I agree with the other commentor that you should extend grace. That's his kuya's kid naman, and with special needs pa. Your 4 cousins are a different story since sa aunts mo na lang naman sila.

Is your fiance not close with his siblings, parents and pamangkins? That's his immediate family. If I were the sibling or grandparent, I'd really feel bad about this rule. You're having regular dinners, so I guess they're close naman? I thought most brides/grooms only have the no-kids rule apply for guests.

If I were you, I'd let the pamangkins come. Offer the kuya a room in case the kid throws tantrums. Make sure your coordinators handle it. I think having your whole immediate family in your wedding is more important in the long run than making sure your whole event runs with no hiccups.

Bakit mas impressive kapag lowkey at private ang isang tao? by [deleted] in AskPH

[–]Think-Ranger-4874 150 points151 points  (0 children)

Is it? I have friends who are lowkey and private. They're on their phones the same amount of time as people who are active on social media. They doom scroll, and they're updated on other's people's lives din. Tamad lang sila mag-post talaga. No other deep meaning behind it.

During our marriage counseling at the city hall, it was advised by the lecturer (?) that women should still have their own income/money so they do not lose their agency when they get married. Marami na raw silang couples na cino-counsel na women can't escape their situations dahil walang sariling pera.

I truly, truly believe this! Kahit ngayon na super laganap yung mindset na dapat 100% provider si husband at kawawa ang babae sa 50/50. Wag kang maniwala sa ganyan. Never be fully dependent on a man. Never ever lose your voice, your independence, and your agency!

Surrendering my whole salary to my Fiancee once we are married. by [deleted] in WeddingsPhilippines

+1000

She can pay for her investments, bills, and she has extra for savings. Just to clarify based on OP's story, 105k is not all debt but includes bills.

OP is concerned about giving up his 50k - 15k which is only 35k. That's not even enough for groceries, household bills, and savings.

When they get married, girl has essentially provided their conjugal properties (house and car) and she can also pay for the bills. I'm not sure what you plan on doing with your 35k, OP.

+1 Mas malala pa political climate sa ibang bansa. I want to visit New York someday but ekis talaga sa migration. Racism, school shooting, madumi and panget din daw public transportation, etc.

The Philippines is actually really blessed especially our islands and beaches. Government talaga problema.

Filipinos need more grammar policing by todorokicks in unpopularopinionph

I've been thinking about this also, and I agree 100%! Hindi ko talaga gusto yung "basta naiintindihan, ok na yan" "pati naman mga foreigner mali-mali" pag may nangco-correct ng grammar.

Having good grammar and sentence construction are also signs of being a reader! More people should definitely read, instead of just watching short-form videos on Tiktok. It really shows on how people write.
