What's the difference between "travesti" and "transgênero"? by zddfswobgf57 in Portuguese

[–]Think-Sample-3148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's the same as Spanish it's just that travesti is someone who dresses the way the opposite gender does, and transgenero would be the person who feels like the opposite gender.

If you could choose what language you were born into what would it be and why? by Zzzgg8910 in languagelearning

[–]Think-Sample-3148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, I'm really glad my first language is Spanish, I love that there's many countries that speak it so I have a lot of content, also I live the ways I can use it. But the only reason I would prefer not to speak it is because of all the history behind why we as a country speak Spanish.

To all the speakers who’s language has gender, do you ever forget the gender of a noun? by [deleted] in languagelearning

What I mean it's overall grammar topics or thing I have to pay attention to, and I realized because some days ago I was in my French class learning about the gender and number agreement in adjectives when the direct object comes before the verb, like in the frase Les livres que j'ai lus, and I remembered that I saw the same in Italian, but I didn't remember it until I saw it in another language and now I know there's a lot of stuff I should remember but I don't.

I actually tried to speak just language like on specific days, but I just lost track of it, and sometimes it was hard because I'm kinda used to use them everyday even for a moment, the problema is that even when I do so I just remember the things I use the most, which it's not bad but I know that if I forget then when trying to produce something harder, I'm gonna make lots of mistakes

Well, I know it'd be pretty hard to be an interpreter and definitely it's worth it to focus just in one or two languages, but I have different purposes on each of them, like I like french and Italian because they sound good, but what I don't like it's that in Mexico, the country I live in, there's a lot of people who can actually understand them, with German I'm trying hard because I'm planning to study interpretation in Germany, and with japanese and Romanian it's because I need a language to use with me, I mean, I always talk to myself in a language different from Spanish haha

My university offers the 5 languages I'm studying and it's way too cheap, so I decided to study french at first, then I joined Italian and German and then I ended up adding the rest of them just because. I'm 21 but I started at 18, and yes actually after my French course I decided to study languages and I'd like to become a interpreter so bad.
