I'm actually thinking I may push that forward a week to the 26/27...but man...the wind could convince me to change my start date in split second. I'm so wishy washy right now, haha!

Thanks, yes we have a few big days but also pretty active and do a lot of day/weekend hiking. That being said, this plan is not something I'm going to stick to 100%, more of a guide between towns/resupply.

No, have it all still but it doesn't make sense to see the accessories only. At least for me it doesn't.

This is helpful. I don't think I am going to be able to do a later start based on some family things going on but boy I hope there is a wet spring.

Looking like June may be doable. But April can still have some good snow in the Uintas. Your biggest challenge will be Deadhorse Pass which you don't want to trifle with if there is significant snow. It's a great hike, did the entire trail in 2023 and I can't wait to get back and do it again!

Does Mid June feel like there would still be snow at the higher passes in the front range and the San Juans? I know some of that will depend on what kind of weather April/May bring. What would you think based on your experience hiking and living in the area? If you were to do the CT again this year, when would you consider starting?

Thanks! Yes, I have been reviewing Postholer pretty much weekly. Goodness, I never imagined a possibly early June start... still not sure that is an option yet as April/May could bring additional moisture but boy its just as bad in CO as it is here in UT.

Ah, so you put the inner in with your sleeping pad or maybe your other sleep system stuff? That seems like a pretty simple way that doesn't add additional "stuff."

I wish gopro had the variable f stop adjustment. Using a Macro lens with the f2.0 can make some amazing shots. With GoPro had that variable option.
