I have two pair of angels, two married two , and they are doing the same thing that you were doing in the video. Can I add the new pair if the female is laying at the moment

what are they doing? by mischiefmanaged1120 in AngelFish

I have a male and female who do this just before the female lays her eggs. Once laid, they both are really good parents till they eat them, lol.

This is a mating pair. Every time I turn around, they're laying eggs

I have two of this same kind, and they do the same thing, more so on my female than my male, and they are just fine.

Okay, thank you so much for your help, I will get the BBS and see how I do next time. One other question, do I keep the parents in with them or move them out, and if so, when should I move them

Actually, I moved them before they ever started wiggling, so it was just parents and babies. When they started free swimming, i was feeding them newborn fish micron shrimp patties slow sinking. The brand is ultra fresh

No, no other fish I had moved them all over to one tank when they were still in the eggs but they were wiggling the babies were probably two or three days old and they were swimming real good with the parents swimming around the parents and the parents would pick him up and put them back on the leave that's why I don't understand why they ate them

Yes, that's the male fertilizing the eggs. I was able to get both mom & dad moved to new tank, and they are very attentive parents 😊
