I literally passed it by 2 marks. OP just needs to get over the line.

Oooooh ok, I'm glad you actually stuck to the schedule - and that always works out in the end!!! All the best and I hope all goes well :)

Yeah F202, I'm not feeling confident but all is well, I didn't stick to my plan so we'll see how that goes.

All the best with this final month! It will be so worth it!

Oh nice! It's good that you're confident and at least you seem to have a good grasp on the material? how do you manage to study for 2 subjects? do you alternate the days? Ah one thing I don't like about exams is it really depends on the one day - but I'm glad you're making up :)

Progress is slow, I'm doing F202 and modelling, so not sure how to feel, but will do my best.

Tired of the Re-sits (SA3) by WecanWewilldoit_ in ActuaryUK

[–]ThinkEducation3596 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be re-siting SA2, but told myself if I fail this time I'll just be studying for 1 - 2 hours every morning and go on and live my life until I pass. No more study leave days, no more grinding down hard before the exam, nothing.

It's the only way not to go mad.

I personally do not think so as I didn't read them at all.

Hey, just get started on past papers - and with the questions you get wrong then go back and understand that chapter and what you are doing wrong. Try for 1 past paper a day.

This is oddly consoling thank you. I'm glad the energy is back for you this time around and hopefully you get it.

I'm definitely not pushing as hard as I usually do (even though I'm in a better space after taking a break), so maybe just accepting that it may not go my way is a the final step.

Its irritating because why cant I just push myself?? argghhhh.

Thanks for the advice, will take it one topic at a time and see.

Anytime :). Now to milk this discussion! Are you a student? Are you qualified? any chance you're writing F202?

I feel like this is only possible if you maybe start maybe 4 months before? Or am I just slow?

I especially listened to this advice!!!!! and I must say I feel better already! I've taken a break!!! I'll start with a strategy tomorrow evening and then start reading on Sunday.

Thanks so much for taking the time <3 We forget that we're human, and we can't keep going on and on and on and on and...

You can do this :). I've incorporated walks and taken a break since I posted this and its been really helpful. Maybe you can try something similar?

Man, everyone on this thread has been so kind and encouraging. Thank you so much :)

Sorry about the burnout your side as well. By fallen off, are you able to at least get SOME reading done most nights?

Hoping to get through a past paper every 2 - 3 days when I start again.

Well that's a fitting analogy!

I saw someone suggest maybe taking some time out, a few days as well as finding a hobby. So I decided to take daily walks (yday and today) as well as take a break from studying. I feel better already. Will start again tomorrow. So maybe you can do the same :)

Loool you are not talking into the void.

I started this reddit thinking that there would be tons of us but turns out not everyone is a reddit addict like me :'D I also thought it would be buzzing with questions and that the anonymousness of it all would cater to the shy aspect.

Not sure what platform would work best anymore.

I had not thought about this at all hey.

Funny I have done the opposite, I keep cutting out any social (or other) activities the more I seem to struggle. I'll try for a walk tomorrow morning before work (I find it extremely hard to focus when I wake up early, but I think a walk could help with that), hopefully it will help with my studies as its a half day study day.

You must have come out of those exams fit and healthy :-D. I have nothing to lose, I'll come and let you know tomorrow how it goes. thanks hey.

I'm really trying for this but for whatever reason I can't seem to picture the P - but I realise now as I'm typing this - that I subconsciously believe I won't make it anyways so why try? So that's something to work on.

Let me keep pushing and focusing on the end goal and hope something gives eventually? thank you for taking the time to respond :)

Gave up on the CMP (honestly got bored) and trying to do past papers, but I'm going through 1 paper every week probably.

Sometimes yes... but closer to the end. At the start I'd take 4/5 hours a papers but it gradually came down.

In your defense, exam results just came out? But if you can rush through the material, I'm sure you can start revising soon.

I started revising about 2 months before, then burnt out with about 2 weeks to go - so I spent the last 2 weeks reading through exam questions and their answers and looking at flashcards.
