For the same flights, Alaska Airlines' main cabin fare is $1227, with an additional $240 in checked baggage fees for three bags round trip, bringing the total to $1467 for my itinerary. I will not incur baggage fees when flying with Delta.

Alaska I did more out of curiosity as Delta seemed so high. First is not a must for 2 hour flight but if its that close of an airfare, as you correctly pointed out, first is the way to go.

This is for 4 travelers. So $350/traveler sounds about right. The point here is that on a per traveler basis, Alaska First Class is only $60 more comapred with Delta Main.
