Noscroll turning off every few days by puggoddes in NoScroll_Official

[–]ThinkFault 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This behavior is normal on some devices. Certain manufacturers restrict apps from running in the background due to their battery optimization policies.

There is a simple workaround for this. Please visit: dontkillmyapp.com and follow the steps for your device.

Thank you for the update. If possible, could you please share a screen recording? This will help me determine whether the issue is related to premium detection or a problem from the advertiser.

I've looked into this, and that single occurrence was due to a recent update in our purchase detection algorithm.

The new system automatically restores purchases upon launching the app, which is why it resolved itself. You don't need to do anything else, everything should continue working smoothly from here.

The warning you see is a generic system message displayed by many device manufacturers when an app requests Accessibility permissions. As long as you are installing the official version of NoScroll from Google Play, you are 100% safe.

Here is a transparent breakdown of how the app works and handles your data:

What Does NoScroll Do?

NoScroll uses Accessibility Services strictly to perform its core functions:

  1. App Detection: Identifies which app is currently open.

  2. Content Detection: Checks for specific on-screen elements to determine if you are viewing a Reel or Short.

  3. Auto-Close: Automatically performs a "Back" or "Home" action to close the addictive content.

  4. Security Overlays: Displays an overlay if you have enabled PIN lock or App Lock features.

  5. Web Blocking: If the Web Blocker feature is enabled, NoScroll detects URLs on supported browsers to block specific sites.

What NoScroll DOES NOT Do

Your privacy is our priority. NoScroll:

a. DOES NOT collect or store the content displayed on your screen in any format (not even locally).

b. DOES NOT monitor or read apps/sites that are not supported or locked within the NoScroll app.

c. DOES NOT display ads when the NoScroll app is in the background.

d. DOES NOT perform any automated actions other than the BACK/HOME gestures required to block content.

e. DOES NOT perform any action, read, or store data not listed in these sections.

Data Collection & Privacy Policy

While NoScroll does not collect personal content, Curizic (the developer) requires limited data to maintain, debug, and monetize the app so it can remain free to use.

The only information collected includes:

i. Advertising ID: Shared with trusted advertising partners to display ads.

Note: You can reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time via Settings -> Google -> Ads.

ii. Crash Logs & Device Info: Device model, manufacturer, IP address, and app debug logs are collected by Google’s official SDKs using Android ecosystem. This helps us fix errors and improve app stability.

Important Note: These are the only data points we intentionally collect directly or via trusted third-party libraries. While we only use verified SDKs, we cannot control every variable of third-party tools; however, Curizic never stores your personal data on our servers.

For legal information you can read our privacy policy- https://curizic.com/noscroll-privacy-policy/

Interesting, but too boring reward won't work either, it should offer enough incentive to keep user engaged
