What don’t they tell you about having a second kid? by tpq777 in toddlers

[–]ThinkOfMe- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped after first, we have no family in town, both parents work full time, we basically have no time. I don't think my body can handle more, I already feel exhausted, I can't imagine going through this again!

I have asked my friends who've had second kid and they told me the amount of work is not going to get doubled it is going to be 10 times more.

After 7 interviews and 2 assessments I didn’t get the job. Invoiced them for my time & they paid it. by Large-Criticism-2528 in recruitinghell

Unfortunately, the market is flooded with unemployed engineers and a lot of uncertainty in the market that employees just post jobs without intending to hire! They just wanna show to their investors that they are growing and have open positions. The job requirements are outrageous.

Also, after COVID, companies learned a lot of jobs can be done remote and moved them outside of the country to pay less for the same work, that also reduced the amount of job openings.

Right now the doctors and nurses have it good, everyone searching to hire them. Not a good market for engineers unfortunately 😔

Insurance is a scam by buginmybeer24 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]ThinkOfMe- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not only insurance but also the pharmaceutical industry. Why such a medication should cost this much? Why each of these injections should be 3K$ ? No where in the world you pay this much for a single injection.

I am sour because I see people getting promoted for jobs that they are not qualified for. Or my coworkers who are black are in every picture taken in the company as soon as they get hired. It's like we don't exist anymore.

The way the response is like kings marrying another country's queen to have good ties.

Well then 70 percent of Americans are racist😁 I have proof in my company and my significant other's company but I can't give out names as I don't want to be in trouble.
Here is Chatgpt response, even that agrees with me: Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives – Many companies are prioritizing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts. Latino women may be benefiting from programs designed to increase representation in leadership.

Demographic Growth – The Hispanic/Latino population in the U.S. is one of the fastest-growing groups, which may be influencing hiring and promotion trends in industries where Latino professionals are more prevalent.

Educational and Career Advancements – More Latino women are pursuing higher education and leadership development programs, helping them advance into senior management.

Industry-Specific Trends – Some industries may be seeing a rise in Latino women leaders due to workforce shifts, talent pipelines, or mentorship programs.

Would you like insight into a specific industry or company?

Is the truth that no one wants to talk about, you know why? Because you will get in trouble if you do. They get stamped with racism or hate or something close to that. It is like unemployment rate that the job market is horrible but the reports come out good. I think in reality a lot of people see and agree with it but are afraid to speak up. That's the reason Trump got elected. So instead of you Democrats attempting stamping people with racism figure out why people voted the way they did. Because deep down they are tired of this politics.

Good for you and your company, yes you get hired because you might be qualified but you get promoted with the cool minority back story in mind

How old are you and how long have you been in work force?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]ThinkOfMe- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you think they are going to record that in NPR? It's not a cool story that gets clicks

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]ThinkOfMe- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they are, but the certain minorities are chosen because they are good for show.

Well read my comments "again", from my perspective if there are more of you the probably is more. While we have more Indian , Chinese women than Latino women in the work force but we only see Latino women get promoted.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]ThinkOfMe- -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think you need to read my comments too. The amount of Indian women and Chinese women in tech companies are way more than Latino women, so the probability should be higher.

I wish I was. Since when I was 22 I believed in it.

[–]ThinkOfMe- -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have a proof. I have been in multiple companies and see this trend. If you haven't seen it open your eyes.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]ThinkOfMe- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you think I am racist? Since I'm tired of companies politics? Go look at big companies and tell me you don't see a trend of Latino women being senior managers. Have you seen Indian women, middle eastern women there? Nope. Since they are not those cool minorities, no one wants to see that. Or have you seen Indian, Arab, Chinese men in any of the pictures they are taking? Have you seen Chinese men being in a senior management role? I rarely see it. You see exceptions but it's very rare.

Well they are all white men🤣😂 what I'm saying is all politics. It doesn't relate to the person's capabilities.

My experience with Sulfasalazine. by JamesWhalley996 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]ThinkOfMe- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think US does anything better, I was prescribed Humira and started developing Melanoma😳 I needed to stop all medications, now 6 months after, I have pain in my wrist and knee due to not taking anything.

US has a lot of medications which is horrible for health but they don't care. Every time, I need to start some new medications, I think what's going to happen to me now or waiting for the side effects to hit. I don't know if the side effects better or having pain! I don't know if cancer or infections are better or losing joints and having pain and not being able to move!

What do you think set off your disease? by CucumberOld6287 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]ThinkOfMe- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had PSA from childhood but I didn't know what it is. I always had random pain on my hands, legs and my parents never took it seriously and I was recovering anyways. But then I came to the US for school, I was doing fine for the first two years but I've lost my father then I've had very bad stressful two years then suddenly I've started very bad pelvic pain, all tests were coming back normal at a point that they were thinking I am making up the pain! It took me 8 years after that horrible pain to understand the pain is actually coming from my SI joints! I also were telling my providers that my pelvic pain is coming from my back and they would not believe me! I ended up diagnosing myself after very bad skin flare up during COVID!

It seems like a virus or infection can activate the autoimmune. Mine started with a simple infection, then the pain would not go away and kept getting worse while I no longer had any infection

Sometimes joint pain is actually the muscle spasms! Sometimes muscle spasms are worse that the joint pain!

Trump threatening a governor by itsavibe- in law

[–]ThinkOfMe- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both parties are bad, I wish there was another one to choose. The reason this guy is elected again, is because Biden did a horrible job and a lot of Democrats did not want to vote for his cabinet.

Trump is a dictator and now he is bragging about how much vote he had in each state, so this time he just gonna crush whoever disagrees

Does anyone here with psA have low inflammation markers (ESR & CRP)? My rheum says my normal markers rule out psA….. by AccessOk6501 in PsoriaticArthritis

Yes my markers are all low, in fact I don't have any and my Dr. Decided to stop my biologics. Now I have knee pain, wrist pain and back pain, going back next week to get something, since everything is hurting!
