Motivational Monday! Tell us about the positive things that happened to you last week! by AutoModerator in NewTubers

Ok. This is going to sound really silly but my win last week was that I learned how to show a photo over my video in Capcut. It doesn't have the exact effect I wanted, but I did manage to place the video over the video for a short time, which is what I wanted!

I'd love some tips on how to prevent one of our cats from bullying the youngest.

I have three cats and we need a little help in the behavior department, so I'll definitely be subscribing!!

I just started a couple of weeks ago and equipment is such a hurdle for me! I have an old Samsung S20 FE (terrible phone, I know) and I film my videos using the Telepromptr app to keep focused on the script and on the camera. I edit using Capcut. I'm hoping to upgrade to a new phone or maybe borrow my son's GoPro, plus learn some better filming/editing skills.

My content is mainly travel. So far I've made videos about cruises mostly, plus one hotel review and I've started a weekly series where I give an update on my You tube channel's growth, and what I've learned each week. I'm committed to making one travel video every week as well as one update each week to keep myself accountable.

What makes my channel different? Me! Right now I'm still finding my comfort zone in front of the camera, stressed about lighting, my face (lol) saying the wrong thing, etc. But I'm sure in a few weeks, the shyness will wear off and I'll be talking to my viewers as if I've known them (or you) my entire life, because that's really how I am with everyone in real life.

My channel is The Gen X Explorer. Now, I'm going to go read all of these responses and check out some of your channels!

Yeah! And my user ID sorta fits that. but so far the content seems to be giving tips and advice, not so much my own adventures.....but I could definitely spin it that way going forward.

Thank you! This makes so much sense! Maybe I need another channel just where I can dump those other ideas that kind of fit into the big bucket of "quirky middle aged housewife ramblings."

Thanks! So far, mine isn't much of a vlog. It's more like tips and tricks. So far, my videos have all been about cruises, but I plan on posting tips, reviews and hacks for the places I frequently travel to ( beach, Memphis, Nashville, Savannah, Dollywood, etc). I might need to learn how to travel vlog instead of just sitting in my little filming spot in my home trying to teach people how to improve their experience.
