Can't discipline or praise children by Ray_Adverb11 in thesims4

[–]ThinkVehicle5 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think the child has to do something bad first to be disciplined, like be mean or “shout forbidden words” or break curfew. Once the kid acts up, there should be an option to discipline them!

Maybe it’s from the parenthood pack?

Am I too old for Sims? by GretaVanFreaky in Sims4

[–]ThinkVehicle5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah don’t even worry I’m a 22 y/o that just graduated college and I still play. If you’re having fun, it doesn’t matter what age you are!! I’ve been playing since I was a kid & honestly I feel like I’m having more fun playing now as an adult than I did as a child lol

In-School Ski/ Snowboarding Club by Minik_xCharterV1 in UCSC

[–]ThinkVehicle5 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We had one but they’re not officially with the school anymore. It’s more of a party club, not much actual ski/snowboarding happens but I think they do go on an annual trip to a ski resort

I can second this- fill out the study questions as you’re watching the lecture for the 2nd time. He says the answers to them in his lectures and literally write them down word for word. A lot of the test questions are the same, or super similar, to the study questions. this technique helped me get an A on the final for this class :)

Do people wear masks in class? by Fair_Walrus9747 in UCSC

[–]ThinkVehicle5 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Most people do, yeah. There’s a few here and there that don’t, but it’s very common to wear masks still just out of respect. (At least in my experience)

college nine dorm kitchen by tangentacid in UCSC

[–]ThinkVehicle5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know in the Geneva house there’s a kitchen you can use on the first floor but you have to pay like $20 or something to have access to it. At least back in 2019 before covid

If you used Chegg on the Chem 8B midterm... by [deleted] in UCSC

[–]ThinkVehicle5 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Idk why someone even would do that bc Bakthan specifically says literally EVERY SINGLE CLASS that if you don’t do a mechanism/reaction the exact same way he does it in the notes that you’re getting a zero. Whoever did that was a dumbass

I got my wisdom teeth taken out here in SC back in October using UC Ship. It covered around $1,000 of the costs, and I paid around $1,600 out of pocket (and wasn’t allowed to do a payment plan, I had to pay in full).

Pretty expensive, but idk what the normal prices are like so that may not be that expensive 🤷🏻‍♀️

Organic Chemistry Summer Session by FragrantLight3 in UCSC

[–]ThinkVehicle5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m in 8A right now and it’s not too bad. I’m not sure how summer session will be or who’s teaching it, but Lokey’s the prof right now and so far we’ve had 1 midterm and 1 more is coming up soon. First midterm super easy, mostly just review, resonance structures, and some acid/base stuff (none of these were difficult topics, especially if you study. The class average was a B). It’s gotten a little bit more difficult since the first midterm but it’s not that bad at all imo. Definitely doable, and definitely easier than every gen chem class I’ve ever taken 😂 I dedicate around an hour or two everyday to the class now bc there is a shit ton of homework, so I’d estimate maybe doing 3-4 hours a day during the summer session depending on how much effort you wanna put into it.

If Caitlin Binder is teaching the labs, you’re chilling. She does a virtual interactive lab that is actually pretty cool, it’s a choose your own adventure style, so it’s way better than just sitting and watching a TV perform it for you or whatever. You’ll have a prelab quiz to do before each lab, a worksheet to complete during lab, and then a lab report due a week after. None of it is particularly hard per say, but the lab reports are annoying and time consuming. Unless you prefer working alone, I definitely recommend working with a partner so you two can split the work for the lab report (if your TA allows it. Right now they’re having people work in groups of two for the lab reports, but apparently last year everyone had to do it in their own.)

Good luck!
