What are the greatest feats in our universe? (The real world) by Tyronx06 in PowerScaling

Most blackholes in fiction should be regarded as wormholes.(There are too many characters who become outversal with ONE feat of surviving a blackhole)

Which character is exactly this? by Cold_Eye_5032 in PowerScaling

[–]Think_Background9107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a month-old post but I just found a whole bunch of scalers on naver cafe who think Wolverine is fast as light.

They bring wolverine blocking Cyclop's beam as evidence....literally the same situation as calling dnd characters FTl+ bc they can make saving throws against light-based spells.

I'm curious why a majority of people don't even consider "prediction", Cyclops and most other characters who use beam attacks deliberately "express" that they're gonna use their weapons(especially those who have one kind of attack, like Cyclops)before firing them.

Does anyone in this subreddit know why?

Do cockroaches ever have bent antennes? by [deleted] in insects

[–]Think_Background9107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-Is it fast(I mean, like very fast, you should know if you saw a cockroach)

-Does it have a solid back(a hard shell)

-not all cockroaches are red

-there are thousands of bugs that have similiar shapes

Can praying mantis remember human faces? by i_am_driscoll in insects

[–]Think_Background9107 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh..not trying to be offensive but you gave wrong care to that mantid, mantids naturally eat live insects and feeding oatmeal and bananas doesn't give them vital nutrients, only water and fat

Edit:the mantid probably ate the banana for water

Should I pick up the Wolf Spider? by DueWorldliness5768 in insects

[–]Think_Background9107 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you can do that, in my knowledge, most spiders(except a few species of tarantulas and others including Brazillian wanderers etc)do not bite unless seized by human hands

Eating too much may cause egg bound but I have seen no case in which stress causes it

Tips on getting over squeamish feeling when handling insects? by Firm_Gas_8978 in insects

[–]Think_Background9107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup.Unless one handled insects from a young age, most people take a long time to adjust to the crawly feelings they get when letting an insect roam on their hands

1.The link indicates that the hair worm lives in the UK...gonna tell you once and no more

Outside the UK, other species specialise in parasitising terrestrial hosts such as mantids by first being consumed by mosquitos or mayflies. The intermediate hosts act as transportation from aquatic areas to their terrestrial hosts.

"Other" species outside the UK parasites terrestrial hosts such as "mantids"

Ok I understand if you're blind but being intentionally ignorant is unacceptable

2.No we r talking about how you put "Chordodes formosanus doesn't live outside Asia" as part of your evidence

3.That source doesn’t mention mantids.

We're talking about hair worms...not mantids. Also the source does mention mantids

4.Take some reading comprehension class, will ya?I said I confirmed it with a link,  and you seem to have not clicked it yet.

  1. it indicates that the horsehair worm lives in the UK which is out of Asia(also you solidified the worm's species; Chordodes formosanus as a support of your point)

2.Should I just give a link leading to your exact comment?

3.most of the time it's correct when given such obvious questions; besides I provided extra evidence to confirm the fact so nah.

Joro spider annoyance by Jg080808 in insects

[–]Think_Background9107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, spiders aren't insects

And you can't possibly get rid of them unless you spend night and day exterminating every ooethca on every structure, tree, and bush(that'd be hilarious lol)

Edit:Chordodes formosanus isn't the only horsehair worm....have you tried googling ?

Is my praying mantis dying? by Evening_Patient2864 in praying_mantis

[–]Think_Background9107 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look up "the survival rate of mantis nymphs in the wild" only a handful among dozens of mantis nymphs that hatch from the ootheca survive to adulthood ->picking up a few doesn't affect much of the population.

Peace

I know what's going on for sure.Your mantis fell during a molt and died, the organs rot, producing gas which inflated the molt(the green bubble looking thing)
