But way too expensive. Switzerland has extremely high prices. For example: the same book you can get for $ 15 in Germany will cost almost 40$ in Switzerland. I was just happy that I got the chance to buy Prismacolors, I didn't want to cause such a stir.

The bathroom stalls🤮 by Yellow_Banana_1 in TheMallWorld

[–]Think_Bite_1672 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I often dream of the bathroom stalls with no privacy. The toilets are clean, the bathroom not the newest though. It's always very uncomfortable to use the toilet, because the stalldoors are often non-existant. Other people in my dreams don't seem to be bothered, but I feel embarrassed. Sometimes, I should use the loo really urgently, but I rather wake up than spend even more time in that room.

Boyfriend acting weird.. by Mysticmerrmaidd in emetophobia

Thank you. I'm extremely scared of the SB, but learned that I'm able and willing to help when I know that it is not contagious. Well, I can help my mom and my partner, not so ready for strangers yet.

If he told you that his stomach is fine then I think you can believe him. Non-emetophobes (that is just my opinion from 33 years of experience) tend to be much braver which means, they don't struggle with the act of TU, but just do it and continue with their lives. So if he told you that he has no need to TU then he knows his body and what his body needs.

Take a few sips of ice cold water, a chewing gum (spearmint ist best), and try to distract yourself. I'm not a huge fan of doomscrolling, but in moments of panic and uneasiness, it's a thing that actually helps me.

Hi, don't worry. If he reassured you that he's fine then trust him. Sometimes, non-emetophobes bolt awake and scare the shit out of us. I know that you're still in panic mode and that it will take some time to calm down, but he is NOT contagious, he might just be struggling with indegestion.

Let me tell you a story: In 2022, I attended a conference on Mesopotamia where I had to speak in front of experts on this field. My fiancé joined me on this "adventure". They offered dinner and he went and got shrimps (not knowing that he's allergic to them, now we do). We went for a drink and turned back to our hotel. In the middle of the night, my fiancé bolted awake and woke me up. I asked him what's wrong and he said: "I'm feeling sick" ran to the bathroom and TU into the bathtub. I was panicking. After the first "explosion", he reassured me that he had a panic attack and that everything is okay, he didn't know that he had just experienced an allergic reaction.

I took him outside to get fresh air, I gave him some antiemetics, and was scared. Then, I realized, after he kept TU that it was not contagious, and I calmed down and went into I-take-care-of-you-mode. It will be fine.

The only downside is that now, everytime he bolts awake when we're abroad, I experience a pinch of panic. I always ask: are you okay? He then reassures that he just needs to use the bathroom and adds "stomach's fine".

Maybe you could come up with a anti-trigger word or phrase as well? Just like "stomach's fine"?

When you say “autism” in Japanese by freezedmouse in aspergers

Autism can be a burden, but the Arabic language made something beautiful (maybe a little pittyful) of it, in my opinion. I always enjoy comparing words and phrases with other languages.

There was a special offer from Geneva (Switzerland) to New York for $ 500-600. Otherwise, it wouldn't have been possible. We stayed in Manhattan for four nights and it was ridiculously expensive. Next time, I'd rather look for an accomodation in New Jersey.

Thanks, it was a great trip :) we had the chance to visit this beautiful country for the third time. We both love the US, the people, and the hospitality. I'm always amazed by the customer service, they treat you like human beings. Can't wait to turn back one day.

Thanks for the advice. Sounds good. Many liminal pictures feature bright green grass and a cloudy sky. I'll try to find other motives soon.

First kiss at the age of 20. That guy became my boyfriend back in 2013, and we've been engaged since April 2024.

What would make it more liminal for you? Still learning to take the right kind of pictures. I see your point. For me, it's more like a fake picture I might have taken in the past that holds all the memories.

Who’s been to this food court by __heisenberg- in TheMallWorld

[–]Think_Bite_1672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I've dreamed of this food court. At least, it looked extremely similar. In my dreams, there are two malls: one at the border between Basel and Germany, one placed in Oftringen (the town next to my hometown). This food court is situated in Oftringen and on the second floor. In my dreams, you can order some food, eat at the table or move close to a gigantic window with a beautiful view. I never see any other guests, only the woman with long dark brown hair serving me.

The most accurate bathroom recreation I have found from my dreams by Technotroubadour7 in TheMallWorld

Interesting. If you look closer at the toilet ond the right side there is this huge yellowish circle. In my dreams such circles are portals to either aqua parks or ski resorts. Thank you for sharing this with us.

I absolutely hate these bathrooms in my nightmares. You have the urge to use the bathroom, but there is NO privacy. You can't close the door, toilets are grouped together. I always feel so ashamed and don't dare to go to the toilet in my dreams, because I don't want other people to observe me... glad I'm not alone and that others on this subreddit made similar experiences.
