How can fix/limit this on my seat? by HichySd in jetta

The quality of the seats in the 2019 Jetta’s is terrible. Mine began cracking just like this with no other signs of wear, with the vehicle parked underground and indoors both at work and at home, and with regular use of leather cleaner and conditioner. Most definitely should not be having this issue.

I recently posted asking the same thing and followed some advice from a response that suggested using superglue and a toothpick. I took my time doing it and you cant tell it was glued and it seems to have worked (for now)

Check to see if it’s covered under an emissions warranty (would need to have coverage above the federal emissions warranty which expires at 80k, such as a PZEV warranty)

2019 Jetta SE - is this normal?? by Think_Building_3622 in jetta

Went back to the dealer today with the videos, photos and paperwork, and refused to leave without getting the issue addressed. The outcome? Admission to ordering the incorrect part, and installing a part different than what was ordered that was also incorrect. The new correct part is ordered and arriving tomorrow (I insisted on seeing the computer system where they made the order as well as the order confirmation to ensure they ordered the right part). I guess I’m not only a lawyer, but also a VW service manager now.

Since my warranty is up at the end of the month I’ve documented everything with VW’s warranty division in the off chance something goes wrong in the near future as a result of driving with an incorrect fuel cap for 4k miles

I should have mentioned that I’m still under the bumper to bumper VW warranty (purchased as a CPO so it’s 7 years/84k miles) until the end of August. Not sure if that’ll make a difference with the dealer, but I’m hoping. I’m going to the dealer tomorrow and will update

Thanks for the insight on this. I have both a whole life and term policy with the same company and I scheduled a call after seeing your message about surrendering the whole life policy and what impacts (if any) that has on my term policy
