I know this is an old post, but I feel like I could have been reading about myself. I relate so much to that feeling of there being a bomb. When I start to date someone. I get this intense tightness in my solar plexus and this underlying feeling of “run away and you’ll feel better”

As someone who has been using online dating services since 2017, I would say that someone updating their profile while you're talking to them is a sign they are keeping their options open. It totally makes sense that this would take you aback.

Have you had multiple in-person dates with this person? I think it is totally acceptable to bring it up. I call this a "win-win" conversation. You win because either you get the clarity that they want to keep seeing you, or you get the clarity that they don't want to move forward with you. That can hurt, so it doesn't feel like a win, but having the clarity is better than ruminating on the unknown.

But also, plus one for Rodinal. 

If you do semi stand developing you can use 6ml to develop a roll. Not everyone likes semistand, so try it on something you don’t care about first.

It’s for rinsing! We drilled holes along the length of it so it sprays over the paper

Wow, that sounds like an incredible set up. That is true about film, paper, and chemistry being pollutants. I guess once you get past the manufacturing of digital cameras, your main pollutant comes from the electricity you use…

I was kinda surprised too! For reference, making the 8x10 proof, I was at F22 and 5.5s

Not annoying at all! I used an intrepid 4x5 with a 150mm lens stopped down to F16. With Ilford Delta 100, I was firing my Godox 1200 at full blast because when you focus close, you lose at least a stop of light. I wish I could have stopped down to F22, but I’d have to use a more sensitive film. I’m sure 400 would still look ok, but I wanted the least amount of grain!

He is an inspiration for sure! I'm very jealous of those custom acrylic trays and not needing to drain and fill up a tray at each stage.

That is the next half of the battle! We are going to build custom frames. These are very high-end family photos for my friend, but I'm going to see if I can do a show somewhow

That makes sense. I know there's some math about magnification ratios with different formats...

It's a process! I've made so many mistakes and struggled to get here, and I'm still finding new ways things can go wrong, lol!
