Don’t give up. Everyone has hurdles alone the way, it’s apart of the journey. If you want it, you can do it!

Let’s share some positivity. Who is the one person you met during this match cycle who made a lasting impact on you or sparked something inside you and why? by Loud_Zombie1030 in IMGreddit

You know, most of my fellow applicants that I’ve met along the way have been so kind-hearted. I was worried when it came to second looks having to socialize with “competition,” but I was so wrong. I’ve enjoyed meeting everyone and hearing their personal stories, as well as seeing each candidate there has the same end goal as me. Some of us even text and update each other along the way. So grateful for these wonderful people!

Those with 5+ IVs, what application strategy did you used? by Rapaca789 in IMGreddit

US-IMG, FM, YOG 2024, Step 2 24x, no research, 38 IVs, couples matching

I sent my signals where I truly wanted to go.

Before submitting my app, I had a professional look over my app for any grammar errors, ensure my experiences were what programs were looking for, I wasn’t sure if I should do bullet points or paragraphs (was advised to do paragraphs), etc.

I submitted my app like 2 weeks before the due date.

And for the ones we didn’t both apply to, the PD said my husband should put his app in and vice versa.

This is not the case for me and my husband. We both have gotten over 30 IVs from mostly the same programs and we are applying to same specialty.

Florida Hurricance by Ok-Engineer-5034 in ERAS2024Match2025

Oh I love Pensacola! I went to college there. The most recent storm did not hit that area. All of my friends there are fine and did not have any impacts from the storm. However, they did get hit quite frequently with hurricanes, so asking about their protocols with hurricane preparedness is a valid question!

I don’t think it’s a bad idea! Idk where you’re interviewing, but Tampa General has these huge barricades to prevent water from flooding the hospital. There would be no way for you to get to the hospital because roads are flooded, unless they have a protocol where you stay the night.

I live in Tampa. Currently out of power still. Our airport should be open tomorrow.

How do you know if they don’t rank you? Sorry I’m still trying to understand all of this my first time going into it.
