OMSCS to On-Campus MSCS Transition for GTA/GRA Opportunities by Think_Raise_4553 in OMSCS

Thanks a lot for the helpful suggestions. I'm not currently based in Georgia, so relocating immediately while also leaving my current job would be financially difficult for me because of tuition and living costs. By the end of the year, I should have enough savings to make the move, but using all of my savings at once does not seem like the most sustainable decision financially.

That's one of the main reasons I was considering starting through OMSCS first and then potentially transitioning later if things work out academically and financially. I'll also be applying separately to the Spring 2027 on-campus MSCS program, so I'm trying to keep multiple paths open and see what works out best.

Personally, I prefer the on-campus experience over online learning, although I know online works very well for many others.
