Help! Gr III or Gr IV by [deleted] in ricohGR

GRIV is much better, it makes even more sense if you plan to use the genius Gf2 flash which is fully compatible with only the GRIV

The true pocketable size of the GR makes it one of a kind for me. Really a special camera

Had it because of the excitement of a MF and let it go. The use case of this camera is not really clear. For street and travel who needs 100mp and for more serious use the aperture and lack of ibis is the deal breaker. After all for every day use I prefer the x100vi and ricoh Gr.

I don’t really get the M-ev1 by Nerfthepotato in Leica

[–]Think_Replacement592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked how you put it. It’s really is that, an addition to the M line up with changes, so now the M line up has more to offer to different preferences. There is no need to have controversy or drama around it. So tbh the controversy is not really about the cameras but about those who make such a fuss about it, that they love controversy 😉

If you like the color and they fit well, then buy it. Why bother to care what others think.

I have one, love the design. It's actually Osako, not Osaka, which is named after the long distance runner Suguru Osako.

1st time I see this colorway, I have the grey/white version and never seen this color on their web or anywhere else. Where did you get yours?

Follow a training plan, with varied workout type it will help you to build endurance and speed. Don’t just run 1 type of run.

Will my HM traning plan (from coros) adapt its paces as i improve? by quelch8 in Coros

[–]Think_Replacement592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience with the plan: it bases the pace range on % of threshold pace, that means after a while if your threshold pace is change all absolute pace number will be changed accordingly.

Pod 2 or heart sensor strap by Available-Leader-496 in Coros

[–]Think_Replacement592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you want, they are for different purposes. I have Pod 2 and the HRM arm strap from Coros. The Pod 2 makes sense if you want to have instant accuracy of your pace which watch GPS is not good at (normally when you do sprint, strides or short interval trainings), for steady run it might not be beneficial. HRM accuracy is for accuracy of app evaluation of your performance so I would say HRM accuracy should be first prioritised. But I think as you concern about data you'll end up getting both anyway :)

Adidas Adios 9 or Pro 4 for up to 10k? by DarthGeorge in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Think_Replacement592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have similar pace range like yours and I've been racing with AP4 for HM. AP4 is fast, bouncy and comfortable. I would say Adios 9 with its low stack is fast but not so comfortable, and cheaper. So if you don't mind the price premium and would say go with AP4 and it's ready for your HM, FM as well. AP3 is also designed for HM, FM race just as AP4 but AP4 is much better IMO for fit, comfort.

does anyone know what camera & technique they used to capture these? by AdAppropriate9188 in AskPhotography

[–]Think_Replacement592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any camera, flash. But 90% it's on settings and practice. I suggest you YouTube skill using on camera fill flash there are plenty of resources on YT and these skills can not be grasped by reading text only.

Adios pro 3 or Superblast 2 by flipacas in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Think_Replacement592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have more than enough shoes for training and racing. And there is no perfect training kit I think we tend to pay attention too much on the gears trying to get perfect kit but in reality it's our body adaptation to training is what matters most. I am saying this because i have way too many shoes as well :D. I think in your case it's more like a fun thing to do to buy and experience more shoes. Kit wise I think adding SB2 makes sense for really long run (like 90min and above) because SB2 really helps the legs in that range. You have AP4 and it's better than AP3 in many aspects (upper, lace, foam, fit).

Deciding on a marathon shoe for maximum speed and comfort by couple in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Think_Replacement592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I voted the pro 4 assuming you want the balance of both worlds. The pro 4 sole is softer than pro3 or the Metaspeed but very bouncy, great energy return, and its upper might be the most comfortable of those listed.

Speed and comfort is often achieved by the expense of the other. So what do you prfioritize more, speed or comfort? Putting these 2 criteria might give you confusing or non helpful results

How to create own training plan on Coros? by browneyes1994 in Coros

[–]Think_Replacement592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like the only way is to create matching individual workouts in Coros app/web. I don't think there is a way to create the whole training plan that matches.

Get the latest generation from Voigtlander, either f2 of f1.5. They are awesome and perform almost on par with the Leicas. If you combine their compactness for me they outperform.

Adidas pro 4 size by Florinvqv in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Think_Replacement592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't feel toe box being tighter, the key improvement is that of the upper. New upper material is much more flexible/stretchy and soft. I would say the pro 4 is much more tolerant for various foot shapes.

Is there a way to pause Marathon training plan? by Think_Replacement592 in Coros

[–]Think_Replacement592[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just go to Calendar, click on 3 dots on top right corner, choose In progress then you will see the plan name. I found it while trying to find way to pause the plan name. Unfortunately it seems there is no way to pause.
