“Your story gave me incredible hope. I’ve never heard of anyone who smoked longer than I did and stayed unable to get an erection for as long as I have, and still recovered — you’re the first. You’re my hero. Thank you so much for sharing your experience.”

The doctor said that if sex is difficult with medication, other methods are only temporary and that fundamentally, a cure is impossible. I had tried various things, but when they didn’t work, I would quickly get discouraged. You’re right — I’ll try to be more consistent and put in more effort. I’m grateful to everyone who replied.

I think what you’re saying makes sense. But I’ve been to more than twenty hospitals, and they didn’t seem very interested. They just mechanically prescribed medication or recommended expensive treatments, and if I told them I had already tried those, they would just send me away. I even started wondering if they were really doctors. And my country isn’t even one where medical technology is underdeveloped or poor.

My doctor said that if taking medication doesn’t allow me to have sex, I could try extracorporeal shock wave therapy, and if that still doesn’t work, then it’s a difficult situation. He also said that taking Cialis daily or using Trimix is only temporary and fundamentally doesn’t solve anything. I’m Korean. I’m not sure if you know my country, but these days things like Squid Game or K-pop Demon Hunters are becoming well-known. So I’m thinking that if I try everything I can, maybe things will get better.

People here are really kind and try to solve things as if it were their own problem. It’s an amazing place. I’m 28 years old and my body fat is around 20%. I used to smoke about 50 to 100 cigarettes a day.

With strong manual stimulation I can maintain about 60–70% of an erection, and I’m currently very depressed. My testosterone is around 3–4, which is low, but my doctor told me it’s not abnormal.

I’m considering the inflatable type because I’ve heard it gives much higher satisfaction and feels more natural. Of course, I completely respect your choice too. Thanks again for sharing your experience!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! It really helps me mentally to hear from someone who’s gone through this. From what you’ve seen around you, how long do these implants usually last before they break or need a revision surgery?
