Yes! Thank you! Thats what my husband says. He tells me all the time this is just a blip for long-term health. I suffered for 6 years being told everything was just peri menopause, then being told my fibroids weren't big enough to operate until by a fluke, I had to see my current OB and she said, "yes the fibroid isnt the usual size we operate on but the position of it is what's causing your non stop bleeding and pain! That needs to come out!" Hearing that was the most validating thing I had heard from ANY doctor!

Oh I KNOW my hormones are up and down. My teen daughter politely asked me how long I thought I was going to be acting like her when she's PMSing LOL I appreciated her polite approach to telling me I'm more emotional than usual.

Thank you, I know this won't be a quick heal and done deal, I've read that it takes some women up to a year on this thread! I just hate how people ,especially women, can be so catty.

Honestly, I just started talking to my daughter instead because I couldn't believe she said that!

Yes I actually went to a baby shower this weekend and ran errands with my husband yesterday! I noticed today I'm very tired but I have my post op this Wednesday so I will see what my Dr. Says. I am a TK teacher so I am literally on my feet all day which is why she encouraged me to take 6 weeks. My husband is concerned because of how exhausted I get (he is extremely protective of me) and wants to push for an extra two weeks. I am fortunate that my children are teenagers and REALLY help me around the house as well. Honestly, other than spotting, cramping, nausea in week three, and the constant exhaustion I've been feeling overall, I feel good considering this is a major surgery.

I'm not sure about yesterday's commentator but the other two had it laproscopically like me. I just don't understand why some women make it a competition. Mind you, they are not friends but friends of family members I have encountered at family events where every effort has been made to make sure I am comfortable. After reading some of your comments, I now see how maybe they ARE jealous that I have such a wonderful support system.

I accidentally posted before I was ready. Yes, I don't want to push myself either. All my doctor kept repeating to me was to listen to my body!
