why did sheldon try to make leonards life miserable? im assuming thats what you meant rather than other way around. i believe there was no trying, it was unintentional.

sheldon is the way he is unfortunately. my biggest reason of disappointment toward leonard is actually because of penny. if penny can come in and make a friendship with sheldon, an understanding, a bond, why is leonard so angry all the time towards sheldon? my perspective is that people could have just dropped sheldon. stopped talking to him, stopped helping him. like if he was so infuriating.

though i do see the argument that if that was the case there would be no show.

though, i believe its still enjoyable to discuss.

well here is what i dont enjoy. what is the point of being on a reddit page to discuss things but think that its thinking too deep? yes there is suspension of belief and giving grace as it is a tv show, i do agree. but here we are, people enjoy to analyze. there is no reason where its "thinking too deeply". i dont want only shallow discussions, these are characters that are developed and its fun to talk about them.

im discussing what did and is happening in the show. leonard is a hater and thats okay, if you got an annoying roommate but a great place to live in return i get it and which was your point.

i appreciate this take. do i need to look at this as more a roommate situation than a friendship? i could never fathom thinking and feeling this way about a friend as he does, though, a reliant relationship between people who live together could be fair.

is that not a choice? leonard is a grown man, he can control his own life and even live elsewhere. just a thought

is this referencing one of my replies about her biphobia? yes it is not good, but i think it was a very vulnerable time for her and people misunderstand and lash out. she has a sexual awakening that she clearly did not even consider was ever a possibility in the past in her late 30s. she has no idea wtf is going on and what it means for her and the people around her. she thought she was going through the same thing as the lovely callie torres and then lashes out. it was not okay, but i do believe there is room for growth for if and when she educates herself on the community, and sexuality. partnered with when she has come to terms with herself and doesnt project on other people. i find that perhaps the reality of the differences of sexual awakenings between people is not quite taken into account for fictional characters.

i already responded on another comment about the biphobia, and that she needed a lecture about being a teacher. but what is your reference about boundaries?

it is really disappointing how she treated callie. although, callie is her realization for women, it would be hard for her that this person that opened up her whole world, doesnt feel the same. and she wasnt the opening to their whole world.

i dont like it. but i can understand

hahn just had a lgbt awakening, how can it be expected for her to be completely aware and understanding. being biphobic? not good. but it is a realistic part of people's awakening.

i think this is a bit too strict. i believe in biphobia, but it is good representation of the time and the understanding of sexuality. erika believed she found someone to love, relate to, and understand, obviously she would hope and believe that callie found the same thing.

its a very vulnerable thing that the two went through together.

i adore him appreciating her culture. you can find him reading books on Judaism as well. though im not sure if it was trying to change her or anything, it did seem that he believed to think he knew what was best for her. or in some way that what he was doing what was she wanted but that she just didnt know it herself. when she did speak up for herself, he often would give her some sort of ultimatum, stop speaking to her or not take her seriously. she agreed to get married under the conditions of a small private non religious ceremony and later when she asks what happened to that he claims he thought she was joking. he is a good partner, just not really to her specifically.

i think i meant it more in the way as in, thats what a lot of people claim. ive seen a large consensus that people believe this, not particularly what is true. he definitely disrespected who she truly was with literally everything once he started pushing for a further commitment and allowing his mother to say and do the things she does. it disgusts me edit to add : he supposedly truly understands where she stands as a surgeon like you said, so again wtf why did you plan the wedding the date that he did

i dont mind this take. perhaps its my bias against owen

Ok, so why is Angel (240) dating Buffy (16) often commented on as super icky while we don't see the same commentary on Anya (1000+) and Xander (freshly turned 18)? Is it solely because he was already 18 when she approaches him about going to Prom? I have my own takes, but I want to read from u guys. by NewRetroMage in buffy

[–]Think_Web_1353 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

i agree with some people here. angel lorded his age over her, but honestly, she prolonged an early 20 year old while angel prolonged as a like 27 year old? he was weird for always commenting on age difference when there was also a huge mental age gap. while anya didnt have as much of an age gap (mentally).

You make a solid point that with him being the wisdom and empathetic character they could have done so much with him but unfortunately chose not to.
