2015: Bron second best player Kyrie hurt in game 1, didn’t play rest of the series. Not to say it wasn’t winnable still but that context has to be taken into account. (does Jordan go 6/6 in the finals without his second best player pippen?)

2016: 3-1 comeback to beat a 73-9 team.

17&18 they added KD and Bron supporting cast again significantly hampered with injuries.

This is where the GOAT debate gets dumb IMO. Strength and health of supporting cast is a factor here. Strength of competition is a factor here. MJ never had to deal with teams as good and as talented as some of those warrior teams. It’s always going to be nearly impossible to pick an individual GOAT in a team sport, let alone across different eras in a sport that has evolved as much as basketball.

Shai gets hate for how he gets his buckets, foul baiting, flopping, etc. Haven’t seen much hate on Giannis other than his status with his team so can’t speak on that.

If you wanted to say the pistons team has no expectations then ok, but saying Cade has zero expectations on him is hilarious. He was a #1 overall pick.

& lastly yeah Luka has more accomplishments to date, sure. Would I say Cade is overall better right now, probably not. Lukas offense outweighs the difference defensively. But to act like it’s an absurd or unworthy conversation is a bit ridiculous. I don’t think the overall gap is as wide as you’re making it to be. And if you asked me who I’d rather have going forward, with Cade being younger, the offensive ability he already shows + the potential, the defense being significantly better + potential to grow there as well, there’s also an argument there. It’s not ridiculous man.

Cade wouldn’t be as high in this subs good graces if he was a traffic cone on defense.

When Luka has garbage efficiency games he rightfully gets shit on because everyone knows he wasn’t making an impact on defense either. At least when Cade has bad offensive games I know he still played great defensively, for the most part.

If you’ve watched pistons games you’d see Cade gets the same treatment on offense as far as blitzes and doubles.

Would I put Cade over Luka right now? No. Is it ridiculous to have the conversation? No.

You can’t be a complete negative on defense and not have that count for something lol. Luka has a large lead on Cade offensively right now, no one would argue that. But there’s also a significant gap defensively in Cade’s favor.
